Takezaki Suenaga
was a retainer of the Higo Province, Japan who fought in both the Battle of Bun'ei and the Battle of Kōan during the Mongol invasions of Japan. Suenaga commissioned the '' Mōko Shūrai Ekotoba'', an illustrated handscroll, in order to provide a pictorial account and chronicle his valor in battles against the Mongols, and to praise his commanders and the gods for his success during his campaigns. Fighting the Mongols During the Mongol invasion of 1274, Suenaga fought at Hakata under Muto Kagesuke. Suenaga went to great lengths to achieve what he viewed as the honor of the warrior. Although under orders from Kagesuke to pull back at the beginning of the engagement, Suenaga disobeyed, saying “Waiting for the general will cause us to be late to battle. Yuta Suenaga
is a Japanese swimmer, who specialized in breaststroke events. He attained a top eight finish in the 100 m breaststroke at the 2007 Summer Universiade in Bangkok, Thailand, and had been selected to represent Japan at the 2008 Summer Olympics. Suenaga is an economics graduate at Hosei University in Tokyo. Suenaga competed in a breaststroke double at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. Masao Suenaga
is a Japanese professional drifting driver, currently competing in the D1 Grand Prix series for D-MAX. He is the younger brother of Naoto who both were taught by Nobushige Kumakubo. He began his motorsport career racing minibikes in the Kyūshū area, later winning a title. Following this, his motorcycle racing career ended at the age of 20 caused by injuries. As Naoto was involved in the 'Tono Club' hashiriya group (which one of the members included Katsuhiro Ueo), he also became involved which he was taught how to drift by Naoto.
