Comercial City Fresko, S. de R.L. de C.V. is a Mexican holding company of hypermarkets headquartered in Mexico City, Mexico. Supermercados Gigante
Supermercados Gigante was a large supermarket chain in Mexico. The chain expanded north of the border as well, as it also had locations in predominantly working-class Mexican-American communities of the United States. The supermarket chain was owned by parent company Group Gigante, which also operates the restaurant chain Toks, and US retail chains such as RadioShack and Office Depot in Mexico. Supermercados Gigante competed with several other chains, such as Soriana, Comercial Mexicana, Chedraui, Wal-Mart, H-E-B, Falabella, Cencosud and D&S. It was not uncommon to see Wal-Mart receipts around the store touting the fact that said items are cheaper at Supermercados Gigante. Hipermart

The chain opened its first stores in 1989 (San Pedro and Cumbres in Monterrey, and San Lorenzo in Ciudad Juárez). Later, the company opened new stores in Tecnológico in Chihuahua, Independencia and Oriente in Torreón, and Santa María in Monterrey. In 1995, the company was bought out by the Martin families from Torreón and Monterrey, who merged it into Soriana. Almost all the Hipermart stores have been renamed Soriana; only Independencia still operates under the original name. Armando Martín Borque
Armando Martín Borque was a Spanish entrepreneur. He was born in Soria, Spain on April 15, 1921. But soon thereafter, at the age of 5, he arrived to the Comarca Lagunera. Living in Torreon, he began working for his uncle Don Pascual Borque in the family's cloth store La Soriana. In 1968, together with his brother, Francisco Martín Borque, he began the expansion of the local family business and thus founded what is today known as Organización Soriana, the second largest retail chain in Mexico. Chedraui is a publicly traded Mexican grocery store and department store chain which also operates stores in the U.S. in the states of California, Arizona, New Mexico, and Nevada under the name El Super. It is traded on the Mexican Stock Exchange under the symbol CHEDRAUI. History Chedraui was founded in 1927 in Xalapa, Veracruz by Lebanese immigrant Lázaro Chedraui Chaya and his wife Ana Caram. They founded towards 1920 a haberdashery in the city of Xalapa, Veracruz. Francisco Martin Borque (1917-1998) was a Mexican businessman. He was born in Soria, Spain on August 9, 1917, and died on December 24, 1998, in Torreon, Coahuila, their family arrived Veracruz port on October 30, 1926, then moved to Torreon with their uncle Pascual Borque, in 1930's decade toured Chihuahua, Sinaloa and Sonora sierras.
