So Ji-sub (born November 4, 1977) is a South Korean actor. After making his entertainment debut as a jeans model, he became known for his leading roles in the television series ''What Happened in Bali'' (2004), '' I'm Sorry, I Love You'' (2004), ''Cain and Abel'' (2009), ''Phantom'' (2012), '' Master's Sun'' (2013), and ''Oh My Venus'' (2015–16), as well as the film '' Rough Cut'' (2008). Jang Hoon (born May 4, 1975) is a South Korean film director. He directed the films '' Rough Cut'' (2008), ''Secret Reunion'' (2010), '' The Front Line'' (2011), and ''A Taxi Driver '' (2017). Conscription In South Korea
Conscription in South Korea has existed since 1957 and requires male citizens between the ages of 18 and 35 to perform compulsory military service. Women are not required to perform military service, but they may voluntarily join the military. Establishment The basis for military conscription in South Korea is the Constitution of the Republic of Korea, which was promulgated on 17 July 1948. The constitution states in Article 39, "All citizens shall have the duty of national defense under the conditions as prescribed by Act."
