Shinhwa () is a South Korean six-member boy band based in Seoul, composed of Eric Mun, Lee Min-woo, Kim Dong-wan, Shin Hye-sung, Jun Jin, and Andy Lee. Launched by SM Entertainment on March 24, 1998, the group signed with Good Entertainment in 2004 before creating theiShinhwa Companyto manage their career as a band. The band struggled initially with their first album before finding commercial success with their sophomore album ''T.O.P.'' (April 1999). When their contract with SM Entertainment expired in July 2003, all six members signed with Good Entertainment and assumed creative control with the release of '' Brand New'' (August 2004). Shinhwa Discography
The South Korean boy band Shinhwa has released fifteen studio albums, three live albums, five compilation albums, one box set, three EPs, thirty-four singles, and sixteen contributions to multi-artist compilations. Shinhwa was created by SM Entertainment and debuted in 1998 with the album '' Resolver''. Under SM Entertainment, Shinhwa released six full-length studio albums and contributed to numerous SM Town compilation albums featuring other SM artists. Sixteen promotional, not-for-sale singles were also released. One greatest hits compilation, '' My Choice'', was released by SM Entertainment in 2002 in South Korea. Eric Mun
Eric Mun (born Mun Jung-hyuk on February 16, 1979) is a South Korean rapper, songwriter and actor. He is a member and leader of the South Korean boy band Shinhwa. He is also well known for several dramas such as '' Phoenix'' (2004), ''Super Rookie'' (2005), and '' Another Oh Hae-young'' (2016). He was with Top Class Entertainment from 2007 to December 2013. In 2014, Mun and his manager of 10 years, Lee Jong-hyun, set up a new management agency, E&J Entertainment, for his individual activities. Jung Pil-kyo (; born November 27, 1979) is a South Korean singer-songwriter. He is best known as a member of the South Korean boy group Shinhwa. The main vocalist of Shinhwa, he debuted as a solo artist in 2005 and has since released multiple albums in both Korean and Japanese. Biography 1998: Debut with Shinhwa Shin auditioned in America through Brothers Entertainment and joined Shinhwa after bandmates Andy and Eric. Kim Dong-wan
Kim Dong-wan (; born November 21, 1979) is a South Korean entertainer, known as a member of South Korean boy band Shinhwa. He has been acting since 2002, and has starred in television dramas such as ''A Farewell to Sorrow'' and ''Children of Heaven''. He has said that given the opportunity he would prefer a career in acting rather than as a singer, However, since the release of his debut album, he has stated that now he prefers singing more. From Shinhwa, Kim is the fourth member to go solo, following Lee Min-woo, Shin Hye-sung, and Jun Jin. Lee Min-woo
Lee Min-woo (hangul: 이민우; born July 28, 1979), also known mononymously credited as M as a solo artist, is a South Korean entertainer, known as a member of the South Korean boy band Shinhwa. Lee was the first Shinhwa member to debut as a solo artist in 2003, and has since released three studio albums. In 2007, Lee set up his own agency, M Rising Entertainment, to manage his solo activities. He and the other members founded the Shinhwa Company to manage their group activities and became co-CEO with leader Eric Mun. As of November 2012, he has signed with Liveworks Company. ''The Return'' is the tenth studio album of South Korean boy band Shinhwa, in commemoration of their 14th anniversary. It was released on 23 March 2012 by Shinhwa Company and distributed by CJ E&M Music. The album and its associated concerts, '' 2012 Shinhwa Grand Tour: The Return'', marks their comeback to the music industry after a four-year hiatus, since their 10th anniversary concert and album '' Volume 9'' in 2008, during which band members served individual mandatory military services. It was first released as a limited edition and followed by a ''Thanks Edition'' on 11 April. According to Gaon Chart, as of the end of August 2013, the album has sold a cumulative total of 88,059 copies. Haegyeolsa
''Troubleshooter or Resolver'' ( ko, 해결사; ''Haegyeolsa'') is the debut studio album by South Korean boy band Shinhwa. It was released on May 9, 1998, by SM Entertainment. Background and promotion The group first performed the lead single, "Haegyeolsa" (Resolver) on KM Music Tank. The second single from the album was "Eusha! Eusha!". Because "Eusha! Eusha!" was a lighter song in comparison to "Resolver", which was a dark mood song, it appealed more to the mainstream listener, and climbed up the charts quicker. Shinhwa released their third single, "Sharing Forever", which charted fairly well as well.Because the album was released long ago, it is hard to find information on how well their singles charted or how they stayed at number one. Hey, Come On!
''Hey, Come On!'' is the fourth Korean-language studio album by South Korean boy band Shinhwa. It was released on June 28, 2001, by SM Entertainment. As with their past albums, ''Hey, Come On!'' was well received by fans and the title track climbed up charts rapidly. The album's release coincided with the rise of the Korean Wave, spreading the group's popularity overseas. ''Hey, Come On!'' spent 28 weeks on the MIAK Chart before it dropped. Music video In the music video for "Hey, Come On!", Shinhwa can be seen dancing in a white room. The choreography consists of heavy leg movement as well as members (mostly Jun Jin) jumping around. The music video concentrates heavily on Jun Jin and Lee Min Woo. Towards the end of the music video, we can see Minwoo running towards a wall and jumping into it, causing the "wall" to open.
