Anjan Dutt
Anjan Dutt (Bengali: অঞ্জন দত্ত) is an Indian film director, actor, and singer-songwriter known for his work in the Bengali alternative music genre ''anyodharar gaan''. As an actor, Dutt began his career in Bengali cinema in the Mrinal Sen film ''Chalachitro'', for which he won the best newcomer actor award at the Venice Film Festival. He acted in Aparna Sen's hit film, '' Mr. and Mrs. Iyer''. In 2018 he featured in Swapnasandhani's new play ''Taraye Taraye'', as Vincent van Gogh, under the direction of Kaushik Sen. Asit Bandopadhyay
Asit Bandopadhyay (or Banerjee) (1936 – 17 September 2020) was a Bengali dramatist, screenwriter and actor. He was associated with the Nandikar theater group. He lived and worked in Kolkata, India. He was a playwright, screenwriter, director and actor. Early life and theatre He developed an interest in drama as a student in Kolkata's Manindra Chandra College, an affiliated undergraduate college of the University of Calcutta, in 1955. He joined the drama group Bohurupee as a trainee in 1959 and completed a year's course under the tutelage of Sambhu Mitra. Nabyendu Chatterjee
Nabyendu Chatterjee (1937 – 14 January 2009) was an Indian Bengali and Hindi film director and producer. In 1991 he received 38th National Award for the Best Feature Film in Bengali. Career Chatterjee started his career as an actor in 1962 but soon turned into direction. He worked with Bengali director Aravind Mukherjee as an assistant. He made his directorial debut with an experimental Hindi film ''Naya Rasta'' in 1967. In his career he was known as independent, off beat film maker with un parallel and art films. His choice of literary stories to be translated into film scripts by himself. In 1981 Chatterjee made ''Sarisreep'' base on Manik Bandopadhyay's story. His last finished work ''Mansur Miyar Ghora'' attracted positive criticism soon after release. Chatterjee could not complete his last film, Sanskar, a project he pursued for years. Bengal Film Journalists' Association Awards commonly referred as BFJA Awards, is given by The Bengal Film Journalists' Association. The BFJA is the oldest association of film critics in India, founded in 1937 to serve the developing film journalism and film industry.
