Shahin or Shaheen , is a persian and kurdish male given name which is the generic term for ''hawk'' or ''falcon'', although in specific, the peregrine falcon. Shahin bey Kolonja ( tr, Şahin Teki Kolonya; 1865–1919) was an Albanian journalist, politician, and member of the Ottoman Parliament during its Second Constitutional Era. Life Shahin Kolonja was born in Starje, Ottoman Empire, today's southern Albania, as Shahin Teki Ypi. Kolonja was a graduate of the school of civil service (mülkiye) and had served as director of several ''idadiye'' schools, initially in Edirne. Shahin Giray ( 1585-1641) was an exiled member of the ruling house of the Crimean Khanate. Şahin was the son of Khan Saadet II Giray (reigned 1584) and the grandson of Khan Mehmed II Giray (reigned 1577-1584). His eldest brother was Devlet who was killed in 1601. His elder brother was the future Khan Mehmed III Giray (reigned 1623-1628). His mother was Es Turgan, the daughter of "Gazi Bey" (Mirza Kazi?) who founded the Lesser Nogai Horde around 1557. Shahin Charmi (born September 17, 1953) is an Iranian-born German multimedia artist, muralist, and painter. Biography Shahin Charmi was born on September 17, 1953, in Iran.
