Sead Lipovača
Sead "Zele" Lipovača (; born 31 August 1955) is a Bosnian guitarist, best known as the lead guitarist and founder of the popular former Yugoslav and Bosnian heavy metal band Divlje jagode. Prior to the forming of Divlje Jagode in 1977 he had been a member of ´Novi Akordi´, "Biseri", "Selekcija" and "Zenit". Lipovača, alongside Marina Tucaković became spiritus movens of the disco band "Mirzino Jato" following the release of their first album in 1978. In 1980 the work of Divlje Jagode continues with a new lineup, one of the new members were bassist Alen Islamović, the new album marked the shift towards heavy metal. Lipovača lived in Sarajevo until the Bosnian War. He then moved to Zagreb where he lives today. He is married and has a daughter. Bosnian War
The Bosnian War ( sh, Rat u Bosni i Hercegovini / Рат у Босни и Херцеговини) was an international armed conflict that took place in Bosnia and Herzegovina between 1992 and 1995. The war is commonly seen as having started on 6 April 1992, following a number of earlier violent incidents. The war ended on 14 December 1995 when the Dayton accords were signed. The main belligerents were the forces of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina and those of Herzeg-Bosnia and Republika Srpska, proto-states led and supplied by Croatia and Serbia, respectively. The war was part of the breakup of Yugoslavia. Dunlop Cry Baby
The Dunlop Cry Baby is a popular wah-wah pedal, manufactured by Dunlop Manufacturing, Inc. The name Cry Baby was from the original pedal from which it was copied, the Thomas Organ/ Vox Cry Baby wah-wah, first manufactured in 1966. Thomas Organ/Vox failed to register the name as a trademark, leaving it open for Dunlop. More recently, Dunlop manufactured the Vox pedals under licence, although this is no longer the case. The said wah-wah effect was originally intended to imitate the supposed crying tone that a muted trumpet produced, but became an expressive tool in its own way. It is used when a guitarist is soloing, or to create a "wacka-wacka" funk styled rhythm. Mesa/Boogie (also known as Mesa Engineering) is an American company in Petaluma, California, that manufactures amplifiers and other accessories for guitars and basses. It has been in operation since 1969. Mesa was started by Randall Smith as a small repair shop which modified Fender amplifiers, particularly the diminutive Fender Princeton. Smith's modifications gave the small amps much more input gain, making them much louder as well as creating a high-gain, distorted guitar tone.
