Scottish League Cup
The Scottish League Cup (also known as the Viaplay Cup for sponsorship reasons) is a football competition open to all Scottish Professional Football League (SPFL) clubs. First held in 1946–47, it is the oldest national League Cup in existence. The competition had a straight knockout format but became a group and knockout competition from 2016–17. Rangers are the record holders of the cup, winning 27 times. Celtic are the holders, winning their 20th title after beating Hibernian 2–1 at Hampden Park on 19 December 2021. The domestic television rights are held by Viaplay, whose predecessor company Premier Sports replaced BT Sport from the 2019–20 season. 2022–23 Scottish League Cup
The 2022–23 Scottish League Cup (also known as the Premier Sports/Viaplay Cup for sponsorship reasons) is the 77th season of Scotland's second-most prestigious football knockout competition. Celtic are the defending champions. Schedule Format The format for the 2022–23 competition is similar to the previous six seasons; however, this season the group stage will not be regionalised. The competition began with eight groups of five teams. The five clubs initially competing in the UEFA Champions League (Celtic and Rangers), Europa League ( Heart of Midlothian) and Europa Conference League ( Dundee United and Motherwell) qualifying rounds will receive a bye to the second round. Lowland Football League
The Scottish Lowland Football League (SLFL, commonly known as the Lowland League) is a senior football league based in central and southern Scotland. The league sits at level 5 on the Scottish football league system, acting as a feeder to the Scottish Professional Football League, and is above three regional leagues at level 6. Founded in 2013, it is currently composed of 19 member clubs in a single division. Geographically, the league covers an area south of Dundee in the Lowlands area of Scotland. Since 2014-15, it has featured in the senior pyramid system. The winners take part in an end of season promotion play-off with the Highland Football League champions, with the winners then competing against the bottom club in Scottish League Two for a place in the SPFL. Skol
Skol Lager was developed originally by Ind Coope breweries in Alloa, Central Scotland. In 1958, Graham's Continental was launched (based upon a local brew called Graham's Golden) and quickly changed to Graham's Skol to give a Scandinavian impression (the plant had actually been imported from Sweden). The name was later revised to just Skol. Allied Breweries (UK), Labatt (Canada), Pripps-Bryggerierna (Sweden), and Unibra (Belgium) formed a new company called Skol International in 1964. Its aim was the creation of a worldwide beer brand, Skol, which could be licensed, manufactured and marketed around the world. Bell's Whisky
Bell's is a brand of blended Scotch whisky produced by Diageo in Scotland. It was originally produced by Arthur Bell & Sons Ltd. It is the best selling whisky in the UK. History The Bells distillery was founded in 1798. In 1851, Arthur Bell (1825–1900) began to blend various single malts together to create a more consistent blended whisky. Arthur Bell was the first known whisky manufacturer to appoint a London agent, by at least 1863. Bell's two sons joined the business in partnership in 1895. Arthur Kinmond (1868–1942) was appointed to manage the domestic market and Robert was appointed as head of the brand overseas. By the 1880s the company was focused on blended whisky. The Scottish Football League (SFL) was a league featuring professional and semi-professional football clubs mostly from Scotland.One club, Berwick Rangers, is based in the town of Berwick-upon-Tweed, which is located approximately 4 km south of the Anglo-Scottish border. From its foundation in 1890 until the breakaway Scottish Premier League (SPL) was formed in 1998, the SFL was the top level of football in Scotland. Southern League Cup (Scotland)
The Southern League Cup was a regional Scottish football competition held during the Second World War, due to the suspension of national competitions. Held between 1940 and 1946, the competition involved all teams from the Southern League and was played as four groups of four with the group winners forming the semi-finals. In the final season, due to additional teams, the competition doubled in size with quarter-finals for the eight group winners. Rangers dominated the tournament, appearing in every final and winning four out of the six. On two occasions, the winners were decided by which team had more corner kicks after the finals ended in draws. Celtic Park is the home stadium of Celtic Football Club, in the Parkhead area of Glasgow, Scotland.
