It is a remake of the Hindi film '' Dostana'' (1980). The film was dubbed in Malayalam as ''Snehabandham''. Kanaka Vijayalakshmi, known by her stage name Madhavi is an Indian actress known for her works in Malayalam, Telugu, Hindi, Tamil and Kannada films. In a career spanning of almost 2 decades she has been featured in around 300 films and was hailed as one of the leading actresses of South Indian cinema in the 1980s. Indukuri Ramakrishnam Raju (31 August 1934 – 14 August 1994), populary known by his pen name Rajasri, was an Indian lyricist, screenwriter, film director, and music composer in Telugu cinema. He has worked on nearly 1000 films, a majority of them are dubbed films. He was popularly referred to as ''Anuvaada Brahma'' (). He used to pen Telugu lyrics for most of the films dubbed from Tamil in the 1980s and early 1990s. Malaysia Vasudevan
Vasudevan (15 June 1944 – 20 February 2011), known as Malaysia Vasudevan, was a Malaysian-Indian playback singer and actor in Tamil cinema. Early life Malaysia Vasudevan's parents were from Palakkad. Chattu Nair of Ottappalam and Ammalu of Polpulli, along with their families migrated to British Malaya in search of a livelihood. After a few years, Chattu Nair married Ammalu in an arranged marriage. Vasudevan was born on 15 June 1944 as their eighth and youngest child. Gangai Amaran is an Indian music composer, singer, lyricist, writer, film director and actor in Tamil films. Personal life Gangai Amaran was born in Pannaipuram in Theni district, Tamil Nadu in December 1947, as the youngest son of Daniel Ramaswamy and Chinnathayi.
