Sandip Ray
Sandip Ray (born 8 September 1953) is an Indian film director and music director who mainly works in Bengali cinema. He is the only child of the famous Bengali director Satyajit Ray and Bijoya Ray. Life and education Sandip Ray was born in Calcutta. Initially schooled at the South Point School and the Patha Bhavan, Kolkata, he subsequently attended the University of Calcutta. Career Ray started his professional career in film at the age of 24 as assistant director on the sets of his father's film ''Shatranj Ke Khilari'' (''The Chess Players'', 1977). Prior to this, he had aided his father in various capacities including still photographer on set. His own directorial debut was ''Phatik Chand'' (1983) based on Satyajit Ray's Fatik Chand – the film received an award in the International Children's Film Festival in Vancouver. Sandesh (magazine)
''Sandesh'' ( bn, সন্দেশ, ) is a Bengali children's magazine. It was first published by Upendrakishore Ray in 1913 through his publishing company, M/s U. Ray and Sons. The original partners of the venture were Upendrakishore and his sons Sukumar and Subinoy. Its publication had to be stopped twice. The current phase is the third and longest running one, spanning more than 59 years. Beginning The magazine was first published from its office in 22, Sukeas Street. Subsequently the office and the press were shifted to the new building built by Upendrakishore at 100, Garpar Road. Upendrakishore's son Sukumar Ray went to Great Britain for advanced training in printing technology, and he joined as an active partner after his return. Royal Bengal Rahashya (film)
''Royal Bengal Rahashya'' (Bengali: রয়েল বেঙ্গল রহস্য), The Royal Bengal Mystery, is a 2011 Indian Bengali thriller film directed by Sandip Ray based on the novel of the same name by Satyajit Ray. The film was released on 23 December 2011. It was the fifth big screen Feluda adaptation of Sandip Ray in the Feluda new film series (Continuity of the original Feluda films of 70's) and was the sequel to '' Gorosthaney Sabdhan''. After the demise of Bibhu Bhattacharya (Jatayu), Sabyasachi Chakrabarty declared that he would not be playing Feluda anymore. ''Double Feluda'' is a 2016 Bengali language crime thriller detective film, based on the Bengali sleuth ''Feluda'', created by the acclaimed and renowned ''Oscar''- winning director Satyajit Ray. Feluda In Film
Feluda is an Indian-Bengali detective media franchise created by Indian- Bengali film director and writer Satyajit Ray, featuring the character, Feluda. The titular character is a private investigator starring in a series of Bengali novels and short stories. The detective resides at 21 Rajani Sen Road, Ballygunge, Kolkata, West Bengal, India. Feluda first made his appearance in a Bengali children's magazine called ''Sandesh'' (সন্দেশ) in 1965, under the editorialship of Satyajit and Subhas Mukhopadhyay. Koushik Sen (born 19 September 1968) is an Indian actor of film, television and theatre based in Kolkata. He is the director of the well-acclaimed theatre group Swapnasandhani. Kishore Kumar
Kishore Kumar (born as Abhas Kumar Ganguly (); 4 August 1929 – 13 October 1987) was an Indian playback singer and actor. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest, most influential and dynamic singers in the history of Indian music. He was one of the most popular singers in the Indian subcontinent, notable for his yodeling and ability to sing songs in different voices.
