José Ruperto Monagas (1831 – 12 June 1880) was a Venezuelan Militant and Politician, son of José Tadeo Monagas and Luisa Oriach. Ruperto Chapà y Lorente (27 March 1851 – 25 March 1909) was a Spanish composer, and co-founder of the Spanish Society of Authors and Publishers. Biography Chapà was born at Villena, the son of a Valencian barber. He trained in his home town and in Madrid. He wrote many symphonic, band, choral and chamber works, as well as ''zarzuelas'' and operas, becoming, alongside Tomás Bretón, a fellow pupil of Emilio Arrieta at the Madrid Conservatory. He was one of the most popular and important composers of his time. He wrote zarzuelas in all shapes and sizes, including the three-act ''zarzuela grande'' and the one-act '' género chico'' forms. His most celebrated work is '' La revoltosa'', written in the latter style. Many of the preludes to his ''zarzuela''s (including those to ''El tambor de granaderos'' and ''La patria chica'') have remained staple items in Spanish orchestral concerts. Ruperto Herrera Tabio (born December 6, 1949 in Havana) is a former basketball player from Cuba. At a height of 2.00 m (6'6 ") tall, and a weight of 95 kg (210 lbs.), he played at the shooting guard and small forward positions. He received the FIBA Order of Merit in 1999, and he became a FIBA Hall of Fame player, in 2015. He was awarded with the Olympic Order, in 2019. Club career Herrera was a nine-time champion of the top-tier level Cuban league, in the years 1964, 1965, 1966, 1967, 1968, 1969, 1971, 1973, and 1975. Ruperto Cadava Kangleón (March 27, 1890 – February 27, 1958) was a Filipino military figure and politician. He was a native of the municipality of Macrohon in the province now named Southern Leyte. Kangleón was the acknowledged leader of the Resistance Movement in Leyte during the Japanese occupation of the Philippines during World War II. As such, his guerrilla forces helped pave the way for the American Leyte Landings on their return to the Philippines in 1944. Before the war, Colonel Kangleon was replaced and re-joining the group of soldiers under the pre-war 92nd Infantry Division of the Philippine Army in the General Headquarters in Leyte during the Liberation.
