Ruan Lanihorne is a civil parish and village in south Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. Ruan, County Clare
Ruan () is a village in County Clare in Ireland. It is in the Catholic parish of Dysart and Ruan. Location Ruan is near the Burren and between Corofin, County Clare, Corofin, Crusheen and Ennis. The name "Ruan" (''An Ruadhán'') is an old Irish term for the alder tree, at one time used to make red dye. The parish contains Dromore Lake. Dromore wood is a wildlife sanctuary, with diverse flora and fauna including badgers, pine martens, squirrels and foxes. There are two self-guiding nature trails. The five lakes of Dromore are rich in fish. Ruan contains the parish church of St Mary's. The Catholic parish of Dysart and Ruan has its parish office in Ruan. In 1977 a new school was opened on the outskirts of Ruan village, and the old school became a Community Hall used for indoor sports and social events. Grade–Ruan
Grade–Ruan is a civil parish on the Lizard peninsula in Cornwall, England, United Kingdom, approximately ten miles (16 km) south of Falmouth. It is a rural parish bounded to the east by St Keverne parish and by the sea; to the west by Mullion and Cury parishes; and to the south by Landewednack parish. Grade–Ruan civil parish encompasses part of Goonhilly Downs and the major settlements are Ruan Minor, St Ruan and Cadgwith. The parish was formed in 1934 because falling population necessitated merging the ecclesiastical parishes of Grade, Ruan Major and Ruan Minor. All three were in the Deanery and Hundred of Kerrier. Formerly, Cadgwith was partly in Grade parish and partly in Ruan Minor parish. The population of Grade–Ruan has increased steadily; it was 677 in 1961, 835 in 1981, 1070 in 2001, and 936 in 2011. Ruan Gregório Teixeira (born 29 May 1995), known simply as Ruan, is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays as a right back for MLS club D.C. United. Career On 16 January 2019, Ruan joined Major League Soccer club Orlando City on a one-year loan from Brazilian club Barra da Tijuca. He had previously had loan spells in Brazil with Madureira, Boa, Internacional and Ponte Preta. The Ruan Center is a high-rise office building located at 666 Grand Avenue in Des Moines, Iowa, which was built by Ruan Transportation. The building was completed in 1975 and stands at a height of 459.68 ft (140m), and was the tallest building in Iowa until the completion of 801 Grand in 1991. The south side of the building's site was formerly occupied by The Chamberlain Hotel. John Ruan House
The John Ruan House is a historic mansion in the Frankford neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It was built in 1796 as the home of Dr. John Ruan (June 9, 1771, St. Croix, West Indies – July 2, 1845, Bristol, Pennsylvania), a physician and community leader. The 2½-story house, the oldest of its size and stature still standing in Frankford, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985. It was added to the Philadelphia Register of Historic Places on January 3, 1985. It has been continuously occupied since its erection and was previously the home of the Grand Army of the Republic Civil War Museum and Library.
