Rinconada
Rinconada () is a city and commune in the Los Andes Province of central Chile's Valparaíso Region. It was created on 18 January 1897 by Federico Errázuriz Echaurren. Since the shrine to house the remains of Saint Teresa of Los Andes was built in the field of Auco, the municipality has become the spiritual capital of Chile due to the large number of pilgrims from all over the country. Behind the sanctuary is the Monastery of the Holy Spirit, where the community of Discalced Carmelite Mothers resides. Demographics According to the 2002 census of the National Statistics Institute, Rinconada spans an area of and has 6,692 inhabitants (3,429 men and 3,263 women). Of these, 5,727 (85.6%) lived in urban areas and 965 (14.4%) in rural areas. The population grew by 16.1% (927 persons) between the 1992 and 2002 censuses. Los Andes Province ( es, Provincia de Los Andes) is one of eight provinces of the central Chilean region of Valparaíso (V). The city of Los Andes is the capital of the province. Los Andes, founded on July 31, 1791 as Santa Rosa de Los Andes, is a Chilean city and commune located in the province of the same name, in Valparaíso Region ("Fifth Region" of Chile). It lies on the route between Santiago and Chile's primary border crossing with Argentina by way of the summit of the Uspallata Pass in the Andes mountain range. Social Democrat Radical Party
The Radical Party of Chile ( es, Partido Radical de Chile), is a social-democratic political party in Chile. The party was founded as the Social Democrat Radical Party (''Partido Radical Socialdemócrata'') on 18 August 1994 out of a union between the Radical Party and the Social Democracy Party, both of which had received poor results in the parliamentary elections. The party re-adopted its historic name in 2018.
