Princess Shruti Rajya Lakshmi Devi Shah of Nepal ( ne, श्रुती राज्य लक्ष्मी देवी शाह) (15 October 1976 – 1 June 2001) was the daughter of Late king Birendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev of Nepal, King Birendra and Queen Aishwarya of Nepal, Queen Aishwarya, and sister of Dipendra of Nepal, King Dipendra and Prince Nirajan of Nepal, Prince Nirajan. Education Princess Shruti studied at Kanti Ishwari Sishu Vidhyalaya in Tripureswar, Nepal, St. Mary's School in Kathmandu, Nepal, and later at Mayo College Girls School in Ajmer, India. She completed her bachelor's degree at Padma Kanya Multiple Campus, Padma Kanya Campus in Nepal. She was a meritorious painter. The Kingdom of Nepal ( ne, नेपाल अधिराज्य), also known as the Gorkha Empire ( ne, गोरखा अधिराज्य) or Asal Hindustan ( ne, असल हिन्दुस्तान)(), was a Hindu kingdom in South Asia, formed in 1768, by the unification of Nepal. Founded by King Prithvi Narayan Shah, a Gorkha monarch who claimed to be of Khas Thakuri origin, it existed for 240 years until the abolition of the Nepalese monarchy in 2008.
