Omarion
Omari Ishmael Grandberry (born November 12, 1984), better known by his stage name Omarion, is an American R&B singer, songwriter, actor and dancer. He rose to prominence as the lead singer of the boy band B2K. The group achieved success in the early 2000s with their singles " Gots ta Be", " Uh Huh", " Girlfriend", and the number-one hit " Bump, Bump, Bump". After the group disbanded in 2004, Omarion embarked on a solo career, with the release of his debut solo album, '' O'' (2005), which debuted at the top of the ''Billboard'' 200 chart. He was also featured on the single "Let Me Hold You" by Bow Wow, which reached the top 10 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100. ''O'' received a Grammy Award nomination for Best Contemporary R&B Album at the 48th Annual Grammy Awards. Ice Box (song)
"Ice Box" is the second single from American singer-songwriter Omarion's second album, '' 21''. The song features backing vocals and production from Timbaland. The song peaked at number 12 on the US ''Billboard'' Hot 100, making it his most successful solo single to date, and reached the top 20 in Denmark, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom. The liner notes credit the production to The Royal Court, whose members include King and Sir John of Timbaland's Camp. The song uses a sample from Yasunori Mitsuda's "Memories of Green" from the video game '' Chrono Trigger''. The single was released on November 6, 2006, influenced by the romantic relationship between Omarion and his girlfriend that had come to an end. "Let Me Hold You" is a song by American rapper Bow Wow. It was the first single off his fourth album, '' Wanted'' (2005). Released on March 11, 2005, the song features American R&B singer Omarion (the first collaboration they did together). ''Ollusion'' is the third studio album by American R&B singer Omarion. It was released on January 12, 2010, by EMI, StarrWorld Entertainment, and MusicWorks. The album sold 21,200 copies its first week of sales. Background Omarion asked for a release from Sony BMG in early 2009. In mid August, he was announced on the roster of Lil Wayne's label Young Money Entertainment. After rumors surfaced that he was dropped for leaking the song "I Get It In" later that week, it was proven to be false as an interview with Lil Wayne himself he stated that it was "just business", and that Omarion asked for the release. Shad Gregory Moss (born March 9, 1987), better known by his stage name Bow Wow (formerly Lil' Bow Wow), is an American rapper and actor. His career began upon being discovered by rapper Snoop Dogg in the late 1990s, eventually being brought to record producer Jermaine Dupri and signed to So So Def Recordings. Sony Urban Music was a division of Sony BMG, active from 2004 to 2006, The division handled R&B, soul, and hip hop releases by artists nominally signed to Sony's Columbia and Epic labels.
