Obatarian
is a yonkoma manga series by Katsuhiko Hotta which was published by Takeshobo in ''Manga Life'' from 1988 through 1998. An anime series was adapted from the manga in 1990 by Sunrise (company), Sunrise, which aired on TV Asahi. The title ''Obatarian'' (or Obattalion) is a Japanese buzzword from the late 1980s, created as a pun portmanteau of the Japanese word おば (''oba'', meaning "middle-aged woman") and the Japanese title (''Battalion''/:ja:バタリアン, バタリアン) of the 1985 zombie comedy movie ''The Return of the Living Dead''. Shun'ichi Yukimuro
Shun'ichi Yukimuro (雪室 俊一 ''Yukimuro Shun'ichi'', born January 11, 1941, in Yokohama, Kanagawa, Japan) is a veteran screenwriter for anime television series. Yukimuro has had a career spanning four decades and written over 3,000 anime television series scenarios, including episodes of many classic series produced by the Toei Animation studio. After attending a school for screenwriters, Yukimuro won an award for a television drama titled ''Chikagorono Wakai Yatsu''. He soon began to focus on writing for anime television series; his first was ''Yokocho Seigitai (Justice Guardian)'' in 1964. Toshiki Inoue
is a Japanese screenwriter from Saitama Prefecture. He is known for his work on anime and tokusatsu Japanese television drama, dramas and films. He is the son of , who himself was a screenwriter for tokusatsu dramas. He is also a manga author, and has written both ''Mebius Gear'' and ''Sword Gai''. Biography Inoue was born the child of Masaru Igami, a screenwriter known for his works on shows such as Kamen Rider Series, Kamen Rider and Akakage. Belonging to the fantasy literature Study Group at Seikei University, a short story written by Inoue caught the way of Toei Animation producer Shichijo Keizo, leading to his debut screenplay in 1981 with the 24th episode of Dr. Slump , "Arale's Big Change!" Kohei Tanaka (composer)
is a Japanese composer, arranger, conductor and singer-songwriter. He is affiliated with the music production company Imagine. He has created numerous musical scores for anime television series, OVAs, films, video games and ''tokusatsu'' series including '' Gunbuster'', '' Sakura Wars'' and ''One Piece''. Bungeishunjū Manga Award
The was an annual award established in 1955 and given out by Bungeishunjū in Japan for gag, , one-panel, and satirical manga. The award was also given out for works considered the magnum opus of manga creators. Past winners of the award include Jōji Yamafuji, Makoto Wada, illustrations by Taku Furukawa, a picture book by Shinto Chō, and parodies by Mad Amano. While the award was given out for illustration, picture books, parodies, and other similar works, the proliferation of the modern manga culture led to more manga artists receiving the awards in recent years.
