Oklahoma City Energy Football Club is an American professional soccer club based in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The club is a member of the USL Championship, the second division of the American soccer league system. History Oklahoma City businessman Robert "Bob" Funk, Jr., was awarded a United Soccer League franchise on July 2, 2013, and in November, the club announced its name would be Oklahoma City Energy FC. Taft Stadium
Taft Stadium is a WPA-built stadium in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. It is the current home to teams from Northwest Classen High School, John Marshall High School, Classen School of Advanced Studies, Oklahoma Centennial High School, as well as a professional soccer team, Oklahoma City Energy FC. Built in 1934, the stadium closed in 2013 and reopened in 2015 following substantial renovation. As part of the renovation the seating capacity was reduced from approximately 18,000 to approximately 7,500, with the red-stone facade being the only feature left unaltered. A new all-weather track replaced a dirt track which was installed in 1946. In addition to the high school uses for which it was designed, Taft Stadium also briefly hosted professional football games in 1968 as home of the Oklahoma City Plainsmen of the Continental Football League. Orange County Soccer Club is an American soccer team based in the Orange County, California city of Irvine. Founded in 2010 as the Los Angeles Blues, the team currently plays in the second tier USL Championship. Steve Cooke (football Coach)
Steve Cooke is an English football manager and coach who is the head coach of Atlanta United 2 in MLS Next Pro. Prior to that, he was on the technical staff of Seattle Sounders FC of Major League Soccer as academy director, moving to the Sounders in May 2021 as the U17 head coach before also assuming the director role. Under his management, the Sounders U17s team won the prestigious Generation Adidas Cup in April 2022, and went on to win the MLS Next West division. Previously, he was director of soccer for the USL Championship club, Phoenix Rising FC. Prior to that, he served as head coach and technical director of the USL's OKC Energy FC. Club de Fútbol Pachuca is a Mexican professional football team based in Pachuca, Hidalgo, that competes in Liga MX. 2017 CONCACAF Champions League Finals
The 2017 CONCACAF Champions League Final was the final of the 2016–17 CONCACAF Champions League, the 9th edition of the CONCACAF Champions League under its current format, and overall the 52nd edition of the premium football club competition organized by CONCACAF, the regional governing body of North America, Central America, and the Caribbean. The final was contested in two-legged home-and-away format between Mexican teams UANL and Pachuca. The first leg was hosted by UANL at Estadio Universitario in San Nicolás de los Garza on April 18, 2017, while the second leg was hosted by Pachuca at Estadio Hidalgo in Pachuca on April 26, 2017. Sporting Kansas City II is a MLS Next Pro club affiliated with Sporting Kansas City of Major League Soccer. For the 2022 season they will play their home games at Rock Chalk Park at the University of Kansas in Lawrence, Kansas, as well as Swope Soccer Village in Kansas City, Missouri.
