Mudanjiang
Mudanjiang (; Manchu: ''Mudan bira''), alternately romanized as Mutankiang, is a prefecture-level city in the southeast part of Heilongjiang province, People's Republic of China. It was called ''Botankou'' under Japanese occupation. It serves as a regional transport hub with a railway junction and an international airport connecting with several major Chinese cities as well as Incheon International Airport serving Seoul. Mudanjiang is located from Vladivostok, Russia. In 2011, Mudanjiang had a GDP of RMB 93.48 billion with a 15.1% growth rate. In 2015, Mudanjiang had a GDP of RMB 118.63 billion. Its population was 2,290,208 as the 2020 census whom 930,051 lived (965,154 in 2010) in the built-up area made of 4 urban districts. Xi'an District () is a district of the city of Mudanjiang, Heilongjiang Province, China. Spanning an area of in area, the district makes up the southwest portion of Mudanjiang's urban area. Xi'an District is notable for its large Korean community, and is home to more than 24,000 Koreans. Geography Xi'an District is located in the southwest of Mudanjiang's urban area, bound by Taiping Road () in Dong'an District to the east, the county-level city of Ning'an to the south, the county-level city of Hailin to the west, and the Harbin–Suifenhe railway in Aimin District to the north. Ning'an
Ning'an () is a city located approximately southwest of Mudanjiang, in the southeast of Heilongjiang province, China, bordering Jilin province to the south. It is located on the Mudanjiang River (formerly known as Hurka River), which flows north, eventually falling into the Sungari River near Sanxing. Administratively, Ning'an is now a county-level city, and a constituent part of the prefecture-level city of Mudanjiang. The land area of the entire county-level city of Ning'an is ; the reported population count, as of 2004, stood at 440,000. Heilongjiang () formerly romanized as Heilungkiang, is a province in northeast China. The standard one-character abbreviation for the province is (). It was formerly romanized as "Heilungkiang". It is the northernmost and easternmost province of the country and contains China's northernmost point (in Mohe City along the Amur) and easternmost point (at the junction of the Amur and Ussuri rivers). Hailin
Hailin () is a county-level city, under the administration of the prefecture-level city of Mudanjiang, in the southeast of Heilongjiang province, China, bordering Jilin province to the southwest. It has an area of , and a population of 422,000 (as reported in 2012). Ethnic groups include the majority Han Chinese as well as significant numbers of Manchu and ethnic Koreans. Name and meaning The name Hailin in English means "sea forest". Suifenhe
Suifenhe () is a county-level city in southeastern Heilongjiang province, People's Republic of China, located where the former Chinese Eastern Railway crosses the border with Russia's town of Pogranichny, Primorsky Krai. In January 2014, Suifenhe became the only Chinese city in which trading with Russian Ruble is officially allowed.
