Morning Girls With Kris And Korina
''Morning Girls with Kris and Korina'' was a morning talk show on ABS-CBN, hosted by broadcaster Korina Sanchez and Kris Aquino which was aired from July 22, 2002 to May 28, 2004, replacing '' Talk TV'' and was replaced by '' Good Morning, Kris''. Originally intended for only two weeks, the show instead ran for 16 months. Original format Morning Girls started as a replacement for ABS-CBN's '' Talk TV'' in 2002. It was originally hosted by the triumvirate of Kris Aquino, Pops Fernandez, and Zsa Zsa Padilla. Kris decided to quit hosting the show and was replaced by Carmina Villarroel until January 3, 2003, when Villaroel formally ended her contract with ABS-CBN and moved to rival network GMA 7. On the same period, Pops Fernandez also formally ended her contract with the station. ''Rated Korina'' (formerly known as ''Rated K'') is a Philippine television newscast lifestyle and Magazine show produced by Brightlight Productions and associated by ABS-CBN, hosted by Korina Sanchez. It currently broadcast via Cignal TV's One PH and TV5 and via ABS-CBN's Kapamilya Channel, ZOE Broadcasting Network's A2Z, Kapamilya Online Live, worldwide via The Filipino Channel and on streaming platform iWantTFC. This is the first time in a year that Rated Korina will air again on ABS-CBN's permanently replacement channel Kapamilya Channel and it's other platforms. Oakwood Mutiny
On July 23, 2003, a failed coup d'etat, now known as the Oakwood mutiny, was staged by a group of about 300 armed defectors from the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and the Philippine National Police (PNP) led by Army Capt. Gerardo Gambala and Navy 2nd Lt. Antonio Trillanes IV against the Arroyo administration. The group forcibly seized and occupied Oakwood Premier in Glorietta, Makati for almost 20 hours. They demanded the resignation of President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, Defense Secretary Angelo Reyes, PNP Director General Hermogenes Ebdane, and AFP Chief of Intelligence Service Victor Corpus. They also aired their grievances against the military establishment and anomalies on the AFP.
