Mohor Kunja
Mohor Kunja (earlier Citizen's Park) is a public urban park in Maidan, Kolkata. The park is located on Cathedral Road by the side of Victoria Memorial and opposite Nandan. The Park was opened as Citizen's Park. In 2007, the Park was renamed by Bikash Ranjan Bhattacharya, then Mayor of Kolkata as Mohor Kunja to honour Rabindra Sangeet expert Kanika Bandopadhyay, who is popularly known as Mohor-di. The construction cost of the park was Rupees 64 Lakhs. The Maidan (; bn, ময়দান), also referred to as the Brigade Parade Ground, is a large public park and urban green space in the center of Kolkata, India. The Victoria Memorial is a large marble building on the Maidan in Central Kolkata, built between 1906 and 1921. It is dedicated to the memory of Queen Victoria, Empress of India from 1876 to 1901. Nandan (Kolkata)
Nandan is a government-sponsored film and cultural centre in Kolkata, India. The primary aim of the cultural hub is to encourage and facilitate cinematic awareness in society. Bikash Ranjan Bhattacharya
Bikash Ranjan Bhattacharya is an Indian Communist politician and lawyer. He is currently serving as a Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha from the Communist Party of India (Marxist). He served as Mayor of Kolkata from 2005 to 2010, heading the Kolkata municipal corporation, led by the Left Front (West Bengal) in the state of West Bengal. Kanika Bandopadhyay
Kanika Banerjee (12 October 1924 – 5 April 2000) was an Bengali Rabindra Sangeet singer. Biography Early life Born on 12 October 1924 at Sonamukhi in Bankura district, Kanika joined Visva-Bharati University, Santiniketan in West Bengal, India. She was trained in both classical and Rabindrasangeet in ''Sangeet Bhavana'' (School of Music) at Santiniketan. Shantiniketan (which literally means ''Abode of Peace'') was built on the model of an ''Ashram'' (educational hermitage).
