Andrew McClary
Andrew McClary (1730 – June 17, 1775) was an Irish soldier and major in the Continental Army during the American Revolution. McClary was born in Ulster, Ireland and came to colonial America with his parents at age sixteen where they lived on a farm in New Hampshire. Here the McClary family built a local tavern, where town meetings were also held. Many of New Hampshire's prominent and influential men had come from the McClary family. In session Andrew McClary had also become the Town Clerk and soon a notable community leader during the years before the revolution. In the mid 1700s New Hampshire frontier McClary gained much of his field experience leading expeditions against hostile Indians in the area. Just before the revolution McClary planned and led an attack on a British supply depot at the castle at Portsmouth. Susan Kaye McClary (born October 2, 1946) is an American musicologist associated with " new musicology". Noted for her work combining musicology with feminist music criticism, McClary is professor of musicology at Case Western Reserve University. Early life and education McClary was born in St. Louis, Missouri, and received her BA in 1968 from Southern Illinois University. She attended graduate school at Harvard University where she received her MA in 1971 and her PhD in 1976. Her doctoral dissertation was on the transition from modal to tonal organization in Monteverdi's works. The first half of her dissertation was later reworked and expanded in her 2004 book, ''Modal Subjectivities: Self-fashioning in the Italian Madrigal''. Thomas McClary (born October 6, 1949) is an American musician, guitarist, singer, songwriter, and record producer best known as the founder and lead guitarist of The Commodores. McClary is credited with having created the signature sound of The Commodores' original music. Early life McClary was born in Eustis, Florida, in 1949. He became one of the first African-American students to integrate the Florida school system prior to the enforcement of Brown v. Board of Education. McClary began playing music at a very early age, starting with the ukulele and then adding the acoustic guitar and later the electric guitar to his repertoire. Ty O'Neal McClary (born August 2, 1978) is an American actor. Career He is best known for playing the ice-skating cowboy Dwayne Robertson in '' D2: The Mighty Ducks'' and '' D3: The Mighty Ducks''. McClary became close with Kenan Thompson while working on the films. The two lived together for a while during filming. In 2001 he portrayed real-life outlaw Clell Miller in American Outlaws alongside Colin Farrell, Scott Caan, and Gabriel Macht. Charles McClary
Charles McClary (March 3, 1833 – February 27, 1904) was a farmer and political figure in Quebec. He represented Compton in the Legislative Assembly of Quebec from 1894 to 1897 as a Conservative. Biography He was born in Stanstead Plain, Lower Canada, the son of Charles McClary and Betsy Cass, was educated in Compton and settled on a farm at Sainte-Edwidge-de-Clifton. He served on the town council for Clifton, also serving as mayor and warden for Compton County. In 1855, he married Jane Adeline McClary. He was elected to the Quebec assembly in an 1894 by-election held after John McIntosh was named county sheriff and did not run for reelection in 1897.
