The City of Warwick was a local government area administering the regional centre of Warwick in the Darling Downs region of Queensland. The City covered an area of , and existed as a local government entity from 1861 until 1994, when it was dissolved and amalgamated with Shire of Allora, Shire of Rosenthal and Shire of Glengallan to form the Shire of Warwick. Electoral District Of Cunningham
Cunningham was an electoral district of the Legislative Assembly in the Australian state of Queensland from 1888 to 2009. Prior to its abolition, the district occupied an area of the Darling Downs, south and west of Toowoomba. Historically it was centred on the town of Clifton. The eastern portion of Cunningham drew voters from the southern suburbs of Toowoomba. There were also a number of small rural towns in the electorate, including Pittsworth, Millmerran and Cambooya, but no major centres. It was solidly conservative for its entire existence, and was held by the National Party without interruption from 1920 until the Nationals merged into the Liberal National Party of Queensland. In 2008, Cunningham was abolished—with effect at the 2009 state election—following a redistribution undertaken by the Electoral Commission of Queensland. Francis Grayson (2 September 1849 – 27 July 1927) was a shopkeeper and member of the Queensland Legislative Assembly. Biography Grayson was born at Lurgan, County Armagh, to parents John Grayson and his wife Jane (née Irwin) and educated at the Church of England School in Lurgan. He left Ireland at age fourteen to come to Australia, arriving in Brisbane in 1864. John Healy (Australian Politician)
John Joseph O'Connor Healy (19 March 1894 – 18 July 1970) was a member of the Queensland Legislative Assembly in Australia. Biography Healy was born in Maryborough, Queensland, the son of John Edward James Healy and his wife Margaret (née O'Connor). He was educated at St Mary's Convent, Yuleba State School, Assumption College in Warwick and Nudgee College in Brisbane. On leaving school he took up work as a clerk with the Queensland Railways in Warwick from 1908 until 1935. After politics he was a clerk in the Queensland Public Service before being the Private Secretary from 1950–1956 to Paul Hilton, the Minister for Works in the Queensland Government. From 1956 he was once again working as a clerk, this time the Valuer-General's department. He retired in 1961. On 5 October 1921, Healy married Florence May Ahern and together had two sons and a daughter. He died in Brisbane in July 1970 and was buried in the South Brisbane Cemetery. John Archibald (15 December 1845 – 20 May 1907) was a politician in Queensland, Australia. He was a Member of the Queensland Legislative Council. Politics Archibald served as a councillor on the Warwick Town Council and was mayor in 1890 and 1897. John Archibald was appointed to the Queensland Legislative Council on 11 March 1897. The premier of Queensland is the head of government in the Australian state of Queensland.
