Makhdoom ( ar, مخدوم, meaning ''one who is served'' and sometimes spelled Makhdum, bn, মখদুম, Mokhdum) is an Arabic word meaning "Teacher of Sunnah." Makhdoom Muhammad Ameen Faheem ( ur, ; ''alt. spelling'': Amin Fahim; 4 August 1939 – 21 November 2015) was a Pakistani populist left-wing figure and a poet. He was the senior vice-chairman of Pakistan Peoples Party, chairman of Pakistan People's Party Parliamentarians and former chairman of Alliance for Restoration of Democracy. Earning Bachelor of Science in political science from the University of Sindh in 1961, he started his political activism in 1970 and contested successfully the 1970 general elections and was a close ally of Benazir Bhutto during the 1990s. He is the spiritual figure of the ''Sarvari Jama'at'' as well as the prominent sufist in his native province, Sindh. Makhdoom Yahya Maneri
Makhdoom Yahiya Maneri ( ur, , hi, Makhdoom) was an Indian Sufi saint of the 13th century. His tomb in courtyard of a mosque, located in Maner, 29 km from Patna, Bihar, India. Biography His complete name is Kamaaluddin Yahya Maneri. He was son of Makhdoom Israil son of Imam Mohammad Taj Faquih Hashmi (also called Sheikh Al Hind). His family settled in Maner which was later also called Maner Sharif. He studied Islamic law at Al-Nizamiyya of Baghdad Academy. He was a disciple of Sheikh Shahab al-Din Abu Hafs Umar al-Suhrawardi of Suhrawardiyya Sufi order. Makhdoom Muhammad Javed Hashmi ( ur, مخدوم محمد جاوید ہاشمی; born 1 January 1948), is a Pakistani politician, political realist, and a senior conservative thinker on the platform of Pakistan Muslim League (N). After serving as a cabinet minister in the Sharif's administrations in the 1990s, Hashmi aligned himself on the realist school of international relations and was a proponent of supporting the civilian control on the federal government and the military. Hamza Makhdoom
Hamza Makhdoom, popularly known as Makhdoom Sahib (c. 1494 – c. 1576), was a Sufi mystic living in Kashmir. He is sometimes referred to as Mehboob-ul-Alam (literally, "beloved of the world") and Sultan-ul-Aarifeen (literally, "king among those who know God"). Early life Hamza Makhdoom was born in the village of Tujjar near Sopore in Baramulla district. His father was called Baba Usman and came from a Chandravanshi Rajput family. According to tradition, teenage Hamza Makhdoom studied in the Shamsi Chak monastery for a year, and later studied jurisprudence, tradition, philosophy, logics, ethics and mysticism in a madrasa founded by Ismail Kubrawi. Makhdoom Mohiuddin
Makhdoom Mohiuddin, or Abu Sayeed Mohammad Makhdoom Mohiuddin Khudri, (4 February 1908 – 25 August 1969) was an Urdu poet and Marxist political activist of India who founded the Progressive Writers Union in Hyderabad and was active with the Comrades Association and the Communist Party of India, and at the forefront of the 1946–1947 Telangana Rebellion against the Nizam of the erstwhile Hyderabad state. Biography Mohiuddin lectured at the City College in 1934 and taught Urdu literature. He was the founder of the Communist Party in Andhra Pradesh and is regarded as a Freedom Fighter of India. Makhdoom Ali Mahimi
Makhdoom Ali Mahimi Shafi'i (1372–1431 A.D) was a saint and scholar of international repute. He lived during the time of the Tughlaq dynasty and that of Sultan Ahmed Shah of Gujarat, and was married to the Sultan's sister. He is widely acknowledged for his scholarly treatises, liberal views and humanist ideals. Mahimi was born into a family of Arab travelers from Iraq who had settled down on the island of Mahim known as Nawayath, one of the seven islands of Bombay, seven islands that later formed the city of Bombay (now Mumbai). Bihar Sharif
Bihar Sharif is the headquarters of Nalanda district and the fifth-largest sub-metropolitan area in the eastern Indian state of Bihar.
