Mahboula
Mahboula ( ar , text=المهبولة , lit=mad woman) is a Kuwaiti district on the Persian Gulf, south of Kuwait City. It is located in the Ahmadi Governorate between Fintās and Abu Halifa. In the mid-2000s, Mahboula was essentially "uninhabited, with a few old buildings and unsafe streets." In 2013, the Kuwait Oil Company announced plans to expand their business, and this led to an explosion of residential development of adjacent areas—including Mahboula. By 2016, tens of apartment buildings had sprouted, though the construction quality, environmental impacts, and infrastructure demands thereof were questioned by the ''Kuwait Times''. Governorates Of Kuwait
Kuwait is divided into 6 governorates ('' muhafazah''). The governorates are further subdivided into areas. The governorate is headed by a Governor appointed by a ministerial decree for a period of 4 years which can be renewed upon the proposal of the Prime Minister. Areas Of Kuwait
Kuwait is divided into six governorates, and in each there are several areas ( ar, مناطِق). Areas are much less commonly called by other names such as districts or towns. However they are commonly known inside the English-speaking community in Kuwait as and are officially translated to ''areas''. The Arabic word for area, '' Mintaqah منطقة'' can mean both mean ''area'' and ''region''. Areas are further subdivided into blocks, each of which is refereed by to a number. All blocks are divided into ''streets شوارع'' (singular شارع šāriʿ). However, some areas may be further subdivided into جادات ''Jaddāt'' (singular ''جادة Jadda''), which might be translated to ''avenue'' or ''lane''. Abu Halifa
Abu Halifa or Abu Hulayfah or Abu Huleifa or Abu Haleifah ( ar, أبو حليفة) is an area in Kuwait City, located in the Abu Halifa District of the Al Ahmadi Governorate in Kuwait and since this area was rich in small plants called "حنيفا Hanifa", the name arose.
