MTV International
MTV International, also known as Music Television International and MTVI was the internet-based international version of MTV. The channel was a subsidiary of MTV Networks. The channel was broadcast on MySpace on MTV International's blog, and powered by YouTube. Launched on August 17, 2006, the purpose of the channel was to give commercial-free music videos, once the original MTV had started concentrating on shows unrelated to music videos or music-related programming. MTV International also aired music-related specials and a few non-musical programs aimed at viewers in their teens and young adults. The MTV Video Music Awards Japan (MTV VMAJ for short) are the Japanese version of the MTV Video Music Awards. Like the MTV Video Music Awards in the United States, in this event artists are awarded for their songs and videos through online voting from the same channel viewers. Initially Japan was part of the MTV Asia Awards, which included all Asian countries, but because of the musical variety existent in Japan, in May 2002 began to hold their own awards independently. On June 25, 2011, MTV Video Music Japan changed the 2011 ceremony to MTV Video Music Aid Japan 2011 as a charity event for the 2011 Tohoku earthquake and tsunami. is a manga series written and illustrated by Mihona Fujii. It was published by Shueisha and serialized in '' Ribon'' ''shōjo'' manga magazine from 1998 to 2002. The manga was also published in the U.S. by CMX. In 2019, Mihona Fujii announced that the series will continue from November 5 on Shueisha's Manga Mee app, taking off from the manga's ending. An anime television series adaptation produced by Studio Pierrot titled aired in Japan on TV Tokyo between April 1, 2001 and March 31, 2002, running a length of 52 episodes. The first 26 episodes had been licensed and dubbed for North American distribution by ADV Films under the name ''Super Gals!'' and was distributed on DVD from 2003 to 2004.
