MBC M (formerly MBC Music) () is a South Korean specialty television channel owned by MBC Plus Media. The cable channel primarily broadcasts programming related to music. The channel opened on February 1, 2012, with a new music program '' Show Champion''. The channel was re-branded on February 2, 2020 as MBC M. The company intends to make the brand more recognizable to the digital audience and build a synergy between television and new media. ''Kara Project'' was a 2014 South Korean reality television program starring the girl group Kara. It aired on MBC Music from May 27 – 1 July 2014. The program centred around the search to find a new member of Kara, following the departure of its members Nicole and Jiyoung. ''Idol Tour'' () is a 2017 South Korean television program starring Joosuc, Jisook and DinDin. It airs on MBC Music on Thursday at 22:00 (KST) beginning 20 July 2017. From 2 September 2017, it will be aired on Saturday at 10:30 (KST). It is a variety show made to provide busy idols with a healing vacation. Every week, the cast and guests (mainly 2 members of an idol group) go for a tour in a city around South Korea, through 2 teams (1 team leader and 1 member of the idol group in a team, the guests will change team leader during the episode). In each episode, at some spots the 2 teams go around separately, other times the 2 teams alongside the CEO (Joosuc) gather together to tour spots. Gugudan (), also stylized as gu9udan or gx9, was a South Korean girl group formed in 2016 by Jellyfish Entertainment and the company's first girl group. AOA (; an acronym for Ace of Angels) is a South Korean girl group formed by FNC Entertainment. The original 2012 eight-member line-up included: Choa, Jimin, Yuna, Youkyung, Hyejeong, Mina, Seolhyun and Chanmi.
