Lux Style Award
The Lux Style Awards is an award ceremony held annually in Pakistan since 2002. The awards celebrate "style" in the Pakistani entertainment industry, and it is the oldest event dedicated to cinema, television, fashion, music and film industry in Pakistan. Categories have changed over the years, but most are awarded by panels of judges who are experts in the respective industries, with some "people's choice" awards in the film and TV categories. The ceremonies, which are televised, have usually been held in Karachi, but in some years have taken place in Lahore, Kuala Lumpur and Dubai. History The Lux Style Awards were created and developed in 2002 by Naheed Chowdhry, the female executive who headed the Unilever Lux team at the time, in collaboration with Frieha Altaf, TV and event producer and former model. 2nd Lux Style Awards
The 2003 Lux Style Awards, officially known as the 2nd Lux Style Awards ceremony, presented by the Lux Style Awards honours the best films of 2002 and took place 22–24 February 2003. This year, the city of Pakistan played host to the Pakistani Film Industry. The official ceremony took place on 24 February 2003, at the Expo Centre, in Karachi. During the ceremony, Lux Style Awards were awarded in 27 competitive categories. The ceremony was televised in Pakistan and internationally on ARY Digital. Actor Reema Khan hosted the ceremony. Khuda Kay Liye
''Khuda Kay Liye'' (also released as ''In the Name of God'' in international markets) is a 2007 Pakistani drama film directed by Shoaib Mansoor, produced by Brigadier Syed Mujtaba Tirmizi from ISPR and stars Shaan Shahid, Fawad Khan and Iman Ali in pivotal roles, with a cameo appearance by Naseeruddin Shah. The 2008 Lux Style Awards, officially known as the 7th Lux Style Awards ceremony, presented by the Lux Style Awards honours the best films of 2008 and took place at the DHA Golf Club, Karachi on 29 October 2008. ''Majajan'' is a 2006 Pakistani Punjabi drama film directed by Syed Noor which was released across theaters in Pakistan on 24 March 2006.
