Lozova ( uk, Лозова́, ) or Lozovaya (russian: Лозова́я) is a city in Kharkiv Oblast (province) of eastern Ukraine. It serves as the administrative center of the Lozova Raion (district). Lozova hosts the administration of Lozova urban hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine. Population: Lozova is the 2nd largest city in Kharkiv Oblast after Kharkiv in terms of population. Lozova Raion
Lozova Raion ( uk, Лозівський район) is a raion in Kharkiv Oblast in eastern Ukraine. Its administrative center is the city of Lozova. Current population: On 18 July 2020, as part of the administrative reform of Ukraine, the number of raions of Kharkiv Oblast was reduced to seven, and the area of Lozova Raion was significantly expanded. Two abolished raions, Blyzniuky and Pervomaiskyi Raions, as well as Lozova Municipality and the city of Pervomaiskyi, which was previously incorporated as a city of oblast significance, were merged into Lozova Raion. Kharkiv Oblast ( uk, Харківська́ о́бласть, translit=Kharkivska oblast), also referred to as Kharkivshchyna ( uk, Ха́рківщина), is an oblast (province) of eastern Ukraine. Anatol Rapoport ( uk, Анатолій Борисович Рапопо́рт; russian: Анато́лий Бори́сович Рапопо́рт; May 22, 1911January 20, 2007) was an American mathematical psychologist. He contributed to general systems theory, to mathematical biology and to the mathematical modeling of social interaction and stochastic models of contagion. Biography Rapoport was born in Lozova, Kharkov Governorate, Russia (in today's Kharkiv Oblast, Ukraine) into a secular Jewish family. In 1922, he came to the United States, and in 1928 he became a naturalized citizen. He started studying music in Chicago and continued with piano, conducting and composition at the Vienna Hochschule für Musik where he studied from 1929 to 1934. Oleksandr Mykolayovych Hladkyi ( uk, Олександр Миколайович Гладкий, born 24 August 1987) is a Ukrainian professional footballer who plays as a forward for Chornomorets Odesa. Leonid Skirko ''Ukr.'' Леонід Миколайович Скірко (27 April 1939 – 8 June 2012) was a Canadian bass-baritone opera singer of Ukrainian origin. Biography and Career He was born in Shcherbynivka near Lozova, Ukraine to Marta (ne Havrysh), and to Mykola Skirko.
