Lokot Autonomy
The Lokot Autonomy (russian: Ло́котское самоуправле́ние, lit=Lókotskoye samoupravléniye) or Lokot Republic (russian: Ло́котская республика, lit=Lókotskaya respublika, german: Republik Lokot) was an autonomous structure on the territory of the Central Russian oblasts of Bryansk, Oryol and Kursk from July 1942 to August 1943. The Wehrmacht entered the area in October 1941 and were forced out in August 1943. The autonomy was formed in July 1942, when six districts were added to the Lokot district. The autonomy's name was derived from the region's administrative center, the urban-type settlement of Lokot in Oryol Oblast (now located in Bryansk Oblast). The "Autonomy" covered the area of eight raions (the present-day Brasovsky, Dmitriyevsky, Dmitrovsky, Komarichsky, Navlinsky, Sevsky, Suzemsky and Zheleznogorsky districts) now divided between Bryansk, Oryol and Kursk Oblasts. Korück
The Korück (short for Kommandant rückwärtiges Armeegebiet), were the staff of various units of varying sizes assigned to the Wehrmacht's Armeeoberkommando. In military jargon, “Korück” did not only stand for the corresponding agency but usually also for the entire rear army area, which was subordinate to this agency, often also for the entire military unit of this agency. Each rear army area was identified by a number. For example, after the Operation Barbarossa, Korück 582 was given the task of controlling the 9th Army's rear area at the time when its greatest expansion covered around 27,000 km2 with more than 1,500 villages around Vyazma. Raion
A raion (also spelt rayon) is a type of administrative unit of several post-Soviet states. The term is used for both a type of subnational entity and a division of a city. The word is from the French (meaning 'honeycomb, department'), and is commonly translated as " district" in English. A raion is a standardized administrative entity across most of the former Soviet Union and is usually a subdivision two steps below the national level, such as a subdivision of an oblast. However, in smaller USSR republics, it could be the primary level of administrative division. Operation Barbarossa
Operation Barbarossa (german: link=no, Unternehmen Barbarossa; ) was the invasion of the Soviet Union by Nazi Germany and many of its Axis allies, starting on Sunday, 22 June 1941, during the Second World War. The operation, code-named after Frederick Barbarossa ("red beard"), a 12th-century Holy Roman emperor and German king, put into action Nazi Germany's ideological goal of conquering the western Soviet Union to repopulate it with Germans. Reichskommissariat Moskowien (RKM; russian: Рейхскомиссариат Московия, Reykhskomissariat Moskoviya , Reich Commissariat of Muscovy) was the civilian occupation-regime that Nazi Germany intended to establish in central and northern European Russia during World War II, one of several similar ''Reichskommissariate''. Schutzstaffel
The ''Schutzstaffel'' (SS; also stylized as ''ᛋᛋ'' with Armanen runes; ; "Protection Squadron") was a major paramilitary organization under Adolf Hitler and the Nazi Party in Nazi Germany, and later throughout German-occupied Europe during World War II.
