Gymnastics
Gymnastics is a type of sport that includes physical exercises requiring balance, strength, flexibility, agility, coordination, dedication and endurance. The movements involved in gymnastics contribute to the development of the arms, legs, shoulders, back, chest, and abdominal muscle groups. Gymnastics evolved from exercises used by the ancient Greeks that included skills for mounting and dismounting a horse, and from circus performance skills. The most common form of competitive gymnastics is artistic gymnastics (AG), which consists of, for women (WAG), the events floor, vault, uneven bars, and beam; and for men (MAG), the events floor, vault, rings, pommel horse, parallel bars, and horizontal bar. Janine Murray (born 10 March 1990) is a Zimbabwean born Australian rhythmic gymnast. She won a gold medal in the team event at the 2010 Commonwealth Games and represented Australia at the 2012 Summer Olympics. Personal Nicknamed Jeannie, Murray was born on 10 March 1990 in Harare, Zimbabwe and attended primary school while living there. Lala Yusifova ( az, Lalə Yusifova, born 16 October 1996) is a retired Azerbaijani rhythmic gymnast. Career Yusifova began competing in junior internationals in 2009. She won the silver medal in ball at the 2010 European Junior Championships and briefly competed as a member of the Azerbaijani Group gymnasts who won the bronze medal 2011 European Junior Championships in Minsk. Zhala Piriyeva ( az, Jalə Azad qızı Piriyeva; born 10 May 2000) is an Azerbaijani individual rhythmic gymnast. Zeynab Javadli ( az, Zeynəb Cavadlı; born 19 July 1991), is an Azerbaijani former rhythmic gymnast, World and European Championship medalist. She is the ex-wife of Emirati Sheikh Saeed bin Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum, with whom she is involved in a controversial custody battle. Career Javadli was born in Baku. Marina Durunda
Marina Sergeyevna Durunda (born 12 June 1997) ( az, Marina Sergey qızı Durunda;russian: Марина Сергеевна Дурунда) is a retired Ukrainian-born Azerbaijani individual rhythmic gymnast. Durunda started her senior career in 2013, and soon became the leader of the Azerbaijani gymnastics and a three-time (2013-2015) national champion. Nicol Ruprecht (born 2 October 1992) is an Austrian individual rhythmic gymnast. She is Austria's most successful rhythmic gymnast. Personal life Ruprecht was born in Innsbruck.
