Russia (, , ), or the Russian Federation, is a transcontinental country spanning Eastern Europe and Northern Asia. Nikolay Yuryevich Anokhin (russian: Никола́й Ю́рьевич Ано́хин), is a contemporary Russian artist from Moscow, born in 1966. He graduated from the Moscow Art School, and then from Surikov Moscow Art Institute. From 1988 to 1992 he took art courses from Members of the Russian Academy of Arts Russian Academy of Arts (RAKh / rus. РАХ, Росси́йская акаде́мия худо́жеств) is the State scientific Institution of Russian Federation, eligible heir to the USSR Academy of Arts. Aleksey Antropov
Alexei Petrovich Antropov (russian: Алексей Петрович Антропов; – ) was a Russian painter active primarily in St. Petersburg, where he was born and died. He also worked in Moscow and frescoed churches in Kiev. His preferred medium was oil, but he also painted miniatures and icons. Life and work Alexei was born to the family of a government official who worked in the Armory and in the "Канцелярия от строений" (Chancellory of Buildings). Beginning in 1732, Alexei worked at the Chancellory under his relative Andrey Matveyev. After 1739 he was a member of the "painting team" of the Chancellory under Ivan Vishnyakov. As a member of the team Alexei took part in the frescoing of the Summer Palace, Winter Palace, Anichkov Palace and other buildings of Saint Petersburg. Ilya Yefimovich Repin (russian: Илья Ефимович Репин, translit=Il'ya Yefimovich Repin, p=ˈrʲepʲɪn); fi, Ilja Jefimovitš Repin ( – 29 September 1930) was a Russian painter, born in what is now Ukraine. He became one of the most renowned artists in Russia during the 19th century. His major works include '' Barge Haulers on the Volga'' (1873), '' Religious Procession in Kursk Province'' (1880–1883), ''Ivan the Terrible and His Son Ivan'' (1885); and '' Reply of the Zaporozhian Cossacks'' (1880–1891). He is also known for the revealing portraits he made of the leading literary and artistic figures of his time, including Mikhail Glinka, Modest Mussorgsky, Pavel Tretyakov and especially Leo Tolstoy, with whom he had a long friendship. Evgenia Petrovna Antipova (russian: Евге́ния Петро́вна Анти́пова; 19 October 1917 – 27 January 2009) was a Russian Soviet painter, watercolorist, graphic artist, and Art teacher, a member of the Saint Petersburg Union of Artists (before 1992 the Leningrad branch of Union of Artists of Russian Federation), lived and worked in Leningrad – Saint Petersburg and regarded as one of representatives of the Leningrad School of Painting.
