Manga Artist
A is a comic artist who writes and/or illustrates manga. As of 2006, about 3,000 professional manga artists were working in Japan. Most manga artists study at an art college or manga school or take on an apprenticeship with another artist before entering the industry as a primary creator. More rarely a manga artist breaks into the industry directly, without previously being an assistant. For example, Naoko Takeuchi, author of '' Sailor Moon'', won a Kodansha Manga Award contest and manga pioneer Osamu Tezuka was first published while studying an unrelated degree, without working as an assistant. A manga artist will rise to prominence through recognition of their ability when they spark the interest of institutions, individuals or a demographic of manga consumers. Michiyo Akaishi
is a Japanese manga artist. She graduated from Saitama Prefectural Dai-Ichi Girls High School. Akaishi then attended Musashino Art University where she graduated with a degree in commercial plastic model design. In 1979, she won first place in the Shogakukan Shinjin Comic Award contest. Akaishi's debut story, ''Marshmallow Tea wa Hitori de'', appeared in the January 1980 issue of ''Bessatsu Shōjo Comic , known as before 2000, is a monthly Japanese manga magazine published by Shogakukan. Kozue Amano
is a Japanese manga artist. She is widely known as the creator of ''Aria'', which proved to be a best-selling hit, and was adapted into an anime television series consisting of 3 seasons and 2 OVAs. ''Reborn!'', known in Japan as , is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Akira Amano. It follows Tsunayoshi Sawada, a young boy who discovers that he is next in line to become boss of the Vongola family, a powerful Mafia organization. The Vongolas' most powerful hitman, a gun-toting infant named Reborn, is sent to teach Tsuna how to be a boss. It was serialized in Shueisha's ''Weekly Shōnen Jump'' from May 2004 to November 2012, with its chapters collected into 42 ''tankōbon'' volumes. An anime television series adaptation by Artland was broadcast on TV Tokyo from October 2006 to September 2010, and ran for 203 episodes. A number of video games, light novels, and other products were also created based on the series. Akira Amano
is a Japanese mangaka known for the '' shōnen'' series ''Reborn!''. Early versions of ''Reborn!'' were published in ''seinen'' manga magazines. In late 2003, the series, a stand-alone short story at the time, was published in the ''Weekly Shōnen Jump'' magazine. After the success of the short story, the series began serialization in the magazine in mid-2004. Since then, the manga has been adapted into an anime, as well as five light novels and several video games. On Nikkei Entertainment's list of most successful manga artists she ranked 12th. Tamayo Akiyama

George Akiyama
was a Japanese manga artist known for dealing with controversial and incendiary topics in many of his works. He was born the second boy of five siblings. He had an older brother and older sister, as well as a younger brother and younger sister. His father was Korean and an artificial flower craftsman. Biography Akiyama quit high school and moved to Tokyo to become a manga artist. After working briefly as a book wholesaler, he became an assistant for manga artist Kenji Morita. He made his major debut in 1966 with the gag-manga ''Gaikotsu-kun'', which was published in ''Bekkan Shōnen Magazine'', and shocked readers in 1970 with ''Ashura'', which contained numerous unsettling depictions of human life. The first chapter of ''Ashura'' contains a scene where a woman commits cannibalism to prevent herself from dying of starvation, and later attempts to eat her own child as well. Matsuri Akino
, is a Japanese manga artist from Mitaka, Tokyo, now a resident of Yokohama. Her work is a mix of the fantasy, mystery, and horror genres. Her self-portrait is usually a kappa, sometimes with braids or an odango hairstyle. is a Japanese manga artist from Katsushika, Tokyo. He is best known for his long-running comedy series '' KochiKame: Tokyo Beat Cops'', which was continuously published in ''Weekly Shōnen Jump'' for 40 years from 1976 to 2016. With 1,960 chapters collected into 201 ''tankōbon'' volumes, it held the Guinness World Record for "Most volumes published for a single manga series" from September 2016 to July 2021.
