Lacie Lyn Lybrand (born June 16, 1982) is an American model and beauty queen from Lexington, South Carolina, who was the winner of the Miss United States 2003 pageant, held in New York City. Lybrand won the Miss South Carolina USA 2006 title in the state pageant held in late 2005. This was her second attempt for the title as she had previously placed in the top ten at the 2005 event won by Sarah Medley. Lybrand represented South Carolina in the Miss USA 2006 pageant that was broadcast live from Baltimore, Maryland on April 21, 2006. She placed in the top ten of the nationally televised pageant and competed in the swimsuit and evening gown events. The competition was won by Tara Conner of Kentucky. Lybrand was also one of twenty-six Miss USA delegates who appeared on Deal or No Deal in April 2006. ''Deal or No Deal'' is an American version of the international game show of Dutch origin of the same name. The show is hosted by Howie Mandel, and premiered on December 19, 2005, on NBC. The hour-long show typically aired at least twice a week during its run, and included special extended or theme episodes. The show started its fourth season on August 25, 2008, a day after NBC's coverage of the 2008 Beijing Olympics ended. Mitchell McGeever "Mick" Zais (born December 10, 1946) is an American education official and former general who served as the acting United States secretary of education. He previously served as the 17th South Carolina Superintendent of Education from 2011 to 2015. Before winning the election as superintendent, he served as President of Newberry College for ten years. Prior to that he reached the rank of Brigadier General in the United States Army. Lexington High School is a Public school (government funded), public high school in Lexington, South Carolina that provides education for ninth through twelfth grades, serving the communities of Lexington, Lake Murray, and West Lexington. Miss USA is an American beauty pageant that has been held annually since 1952 to select the entrant from United States in the Miss Universe pageant. The Miss South Carolina USA competition, previously known as Miss South Carolina Universe, is the pageant that selects the representative for the state South Carolina in the Miss USA pageant, and the name of the title held by that winner. The Miss Kentucky USA competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of Kentucky in the Miss USA pageant. It is currently directed by Proctor Productions and it was formerly directed by Connie Clark Harrison, Miss Kentucky USA 1976. Tara Conner became the first Kentucky delegate to win Miss USA, after being crowned Miss USA 2006. She later finished as fourth runner-up at Miss Universe 2006.
