''L.E.G.I.O.N.'' is a science fiction comic book created by Keith Giffen, Bill Mantlo and Todd McFarlane and published by DC Comics. The principal subject of the comic book is a team of fictional extraterrestrial superheroes. The characters first appeared in '' Invasion!'' #1 (December 1988). Captain Comet (Adam Blake) is a superhero appearing in American Comic Books published by DC Comics, created by editor Julius Schwartz, writer John Broome, and artist Carmine Infantino. Once a minor character in the DC Comics canon, he occupies an almost unique position in DC Comics history as a superhero who was created between the two great superhero comics periods, the Golden Age and the Silver Age. Lobo (DC Comics)
Lobo is a character appearing in comic books published by DC Comics. The Lobo character was created by Roger Slifer and Keith Giffen, and he first appeared in ''Omega Men'' #3 (June 1983). Lobo is an alien from the utopian planet of Czarnia, and he works as an interstellar mercenary and bounty hunter. Lobo was first introduced as a hardened villain in the 1980s, but he soon fell out of use with writers. He remained in limbo until his revival as a bounty hunter with his own comic in the early 1990s. Keith Ian Giffen (born November 30, 1952) is an American comics artist and writer. He is known for his work for DC Comics on their '' Legion of Super-Heroes'' and ''Justice League'' titles as well as for being the co-creator of Lobo. Biography Keith Giffen was born in Queens, New York. His first published work was "The Sword and The Star", a black-and-white text story featured in ''Marvel Preview'' #4 (Jan. 1976), with writer Bill Mantlo. Giffen and Mantlo created Rocket Raccoon in ''Marvel Preview'' #7 (Summer 1976). Giffen is best known for his long runs illustrating and later writing the '' Legion of Super-Heroes'' title in the 1980s and 1990s. Adam Strange is a fictional space adventurer appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. Created by editor Julius Schwartz with a costume designed by Murphy Anderson, he first appeared in ''Showcase'' #17 (November 1958). Adam Strange made his live action debut in the television series ''Krypton'', portrayed by Shaun Sipos. ''Invasion!'' was a three issue comic book limited series and crossover event published in late 1988-early 1989 by DC Comics. Kevin Maguire (artist)
Kevin Maguire (born September 9, 1960) is an American comics artist, known for his work on series such as ''Justice League'', '' Batman Confidential'', ''Captain America'', and ''X-Men''. Career Maguire's first credited published comics work was ''The Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe'' vol. 2 #6 in 1986. He debuted at DC Comics with artwork in '' Who's Who: The Definitive Directory of the DC Universe'' #23 and 25. In 1987, Maguire was the artist on the relaunch of ''Justice League'' written by Keith Giffen and J. M. DeMatteis. William Timothy Mantlo (born November 9, 1951) is an American comic book writer, primarily at Marvel Comics. He is best known for his work on two licensed toy properties whose adventures occurred in the Marvel Universe: ''Micronauts'' and ''Rom'', as well as co-creating the characters Rocket Raccoon and Cloak and Dagger. An attorney who worked as a public defender, Mantlo was the victim of a hit-and-run accident in 1992 and has been in institutional care ever since.
