Stanisław Kot
Stanisław Kot (22 October 188526 December 1975) was a Polish historian and politician. A native of the Austrian partition of Poland, he was attracted to the cause of Polish independence early in life. As a professor of the Jagiellonian University (1920–1933), he held the chair of the History of Culture. His principal expertise was in the politics, ideologies, education, and literature of the 16th- and 17th-century Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth. He is particularly known for his contributions to the study of the Reformation in Poland. As a Second Polish Republic politician, he was a member of the People's Party; and, during World War II, he held several posts in the Polish Government in Exile, including those of Minister of the Interior (1940–1941), Minister of State (1942–1943), and Minister of Information (1943–1944). Karol Kot
Karol Kot (18 December 1946 – 16 May 1968) was a Polish murderer who terrorized the city of Kraków between 1964 and 1966. Due to trial evidence and to the seemingly random choices of victims, which included children and elderly people, Kot was nicknamed the Vampire of Kraków. After the trial, in which Kot pleaded guilty to all the crimes he was charged, he was sentenced to death on 14 July 1967. After an appeal initially reduced his sentence to life in prison, his sentence was reinstated. Kot was hanged on 16 May 1968. Early life Kot spent his whole life in Kraków. His family consisted of his father, who was an engineer, his mother, and a sister who was eight years younger than him. Andrzej Kot (November 21, 1946 – February 17, 2015) was a Polish designer, calligrapher, typesetter, typographer, book illustrator. Kot has participated since 1978 ( Brno Graphic Biennial) in many world graphic events. In 1981 Kot received a gold medal International Biennial Bookplate in Malbork. In professional press for the first time in the ''Project'' of May 1980, with a text by Anna Jasińska. Wincenty II Kot (c. 1395–1448) was a 15th-century Roman Catholic Archbishop of Gniezno, in Poland. Early life He was born around 1395. Before he was elected Archbishop of Gniezno he was a teacher and tutor of the king's sons Wladyslaw and Kazimierz. Kot caught the attention of Wladyslaw Jagiello on a visit to Lithuania. Kot soon after moved to the Wawel Castle, where the royal family lived. At the end of May 1434 Wladyslaw Jagiello contracted pneumonia while out listening to the songs of nightingales in the woods near Przemyśl and died on 1 June at the age of 83. Two years later, when the post of archbishop of Gniezno became vacant, the new king put his tutor into the office.
