Kiss Fresh is a British digital radio station owned and operated by Bauer as part of the Kiss Network, and a sister station to Kiss. As of June 2022, the station has a weekly audience of 301,000 listeners, according to RAJAR. History Initially provided over Freeview (replacing Smash Hits Radio) and online, the station was made available via digital radio in the London area, alongside sister station Kisstory, from 12 December 2014. The DAB availability of Kiss Fresh extended beyond London from 1 May 2016, with the station being made available in some (but not all) of the areas previously served by Kisstory on local DAB, this capacity having been released following the migration of Kisstory to Sound Digital. Kisstory
Kisstory is a British digital radio station owned and operated by Bauer as part of the Kiss Network. Playing "old skool and anthems", it is a sister station to Kiss. As of June 2022, the station has a weekly audience of 2.1 million listeners, according to RAJAR. History Kisstory is also a radio programme on Kiss that first aired and was presented by Streetboy on 28 Jan 2002. On 7 May 2013 Kisstory was expanded into a full-time station in response to positive feedback from listeners and at the expense of Q Radio. At the same time Kiss Fresh, a then brand-new station playing "non-stop new beats including Hip-Hop, R&B, EDM, House and Garage", was given its own station. Smash Hits Radio
Smash Hits Radio was a UK-based digital radio station owned and operated by Bauer Radio based in Manchester. It was available throughout the UK on Freeview channel 712. The format was based on the now defunct Smash Hits Magazine. It was a Contemporary hit radio format. The station opened in 2002 and continued to play a 'non-stop' music format without presenters or DJs, with only one minute of adverts every half an hour. The station formed part of the Bauer Passion Portfolio. The longest-serving DJ was presenter Natalie Brown, who had been involved from 10 April 2003 until the final day on air. In 2007 and 2008, Smash Hits Radio was removed from DAB radio in several areas during the introduction of Traffic Radio. History In early 2008, German magazine publisher Bauer bought the radio division of British company Emap, which had been established as East Midland Allied Press in 1947. Sound Digital is a semi-national commercial digital radio multiplex in the United Kingdom, owned by Arqiva, Bauer Media Group and Wireless Group. The multiplex covers 73% of the population from a total of 45 transmitters. Greatest Hits Radio is a classic hits radio network in the United Kingdom, owned and operated by Bauer. Scala Radio is a classical music digital radio station in the United Kingdom, owned and operated by Bauer Radio since its launch in March 2019.
