Kinmen
Kinmen, alternatively known as Quemoy, is a group of islands governed as a county by the Republic of China (Taiwan), off the southeastern coast of mainland China. It lies roughly east of the city of Xiamen in Fujian, from which it is separated by Xiamen Bay. Kinmen is located west from the shoreline of the island of Taiwan across the Taiwan Strait. Wuqiu, Kinmen
Wuqiu (Wuchiu, Wuciou, Ockseu) (Puxian Min: ''Ou-chhiu'', Hakka: ''Vû-hiu-hiông'') is a group of islands comprising two major islands, namely Greater Qiu Islet and Smaller Qiu Islet, in the Taiwan Strait. Administratively, Wuqiu Township is a rural township which is part of Kinmen County (Quemoy), Fukien of the Republic of China (Taiwan) nominally ''de jure'' part of Putian County. It is the smallest township in Kinmen County and is located northeast of the rest of the county. The township is from the Port of Taichung on Taiwan. The closest territory under PRC control is the neighboring Luci Island (Lusi Island), Xiuyu District, Putian, Fujian, which is to the north-northwest. Fuchien Province , also romanized as Fujian and rendered as Fukien, is a nominal province of the Republic of China (Taiwan) without formal administrative function. Dadeng Subdistrict
Dadeng Subdistrict () is an insular subdistrict in Xiang'an District, Xiamen, Fujian, China. During the Second Taiwan Strait Crisis in 1958, the islands were designated by the State Council of the People's Republic of China as the "Hero's Triangle" (). The islands were part of Kinmen County (Quemoy) in Republican China and are claimed by the Republic of China (Taiwan) as part of Kinmen County. Chen Fu-hai
Chen Fu-hai (; born 3 June 1963) is a Taiwanese politician. He was the Magistrate of Kinmen County from 2014 to 2018, and again since 25 December 2022 as an independent politician. Education Chen obtained his bachelor's degree from the Department of Public Executive Science of National Open University. He then obtained his master's degree in public administration from National University of Kaohsiung and doctoral degree (candidate) also in public administration from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in Hubei. Xiamen
Xiamen ( , ; ), also known as Amoy (, from Hokkien pronunciation ), is a sub-provincial city in southeastern Fujian, People's Republic of China, beside the Taiwan Strait. It is divided into six districts: Huli, Siming, Jimei, Tong'an, Haicang, and Xiang'an. Jincheng Township () is an urban township on the southwestern corner of the island of Kinmen (Quemoy). It is the county seat of Kinmen County, Fujian Province, Republic of China (Taiwan). Jincheng was the seat of the ROC's Fukien Province from 1949–1956 and 1996–2019. In March 2012, it was named one of the ''Top 10 Small Tourist Towns'' by the Tourism Bureau. Second Taiwan Strait Crisis
The Second Taiwan Strait Crisis, also called the 1958 Taiwan Strait Crisis, was a conflict that took place between the People's Republic of China (PRC) and the Republic of China (ROC). In this conflict, the PRC shelled the islands of Kinmen (Quemoy) and the Matsu Islands along the east coast of mainland China (in the Taiwan Strait) to "liberate" Taiwan from the Chinese Nationalist Party, also known as the Kuomintang (KMT); and to probe the extent of the United States defense of Taiwan's territory. A naval battle also took place around Dongding Island when the ROC Navy repelled an attempted amphibious landing by the PRC Navy. Matsu Islands

Township (Taiwan)
Townships are the third-level administrative subdivisions of counties of the Republic of China (Taiwan), along with county-administered cities. After World War II, the townships were established from the following conversions on the Japanese administrative divisions: Although local laws do not enforce strict standards for classifying them, generally urban townships have a larger population and more business and industry than rural townships, but not to the extent of county-administered cities. Under townships, there is still the village as the fourth or basic level of administration.
