Kingsway is a shopping, dining and entertainment precinct at the town centre of Glen Waverley, a southeastern suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. King's Way
King's Way or the Allan King Way is a footpath in Hampshire, England. This footpath was created by the Hampshire Area of the Ramblers' Association as a memorial to the late Allan King a former Publicity Officer who was partly responsible for the formation of a number of Groups in Hampshire. The route runs from Portchester to Winchester via Bishops Waltham and passes by sites such as Portchester Castle, Fort Nelson and Bishops Waltham Palace The footpath is waymarked by metal and plastic disks found attached to wooden and metal posts, trees and street furniture, marked "Allan Kings Way". Where the route coincides with the same route as other long-distance paths, the waymarking is not continuous. There is a free downloadable guide book to the route available on the Eastleigh Ramblers web site. Kingsway Tunnel
The Kingsway Tunnel (or Wallasey Tunnel) is a toll road tunnel under the River Mersey between Liverpool and Wallasey. The tunnel carries the A59. It was built because the Queensway Tunnel – which was built in the 1930s to carry vehicles between Birkenhead and Liverpool – was unable to cope with the rise in postwar traffic. History Annual vehicle usage of the Queensway Tunnel had exceeded 11 million by 1959, causing severe traffic congestion at peak commute times, partially as a result of low toll costs. It was evident that a significant capacity increase was required, with considerations on various bridge and tunnel schemes ultimately concluding with a second tunnel as the favoured option, funded by tolls. A725 Road
The A725 road in Scotland is a major route which is a trunk road dual carriageway for almost its whole length, connecting several of the large towns of North Lanarkshire and South Lanarkshire, linking the M8 and M74 motorways; it has been upgraded frequently since its construction, with the most recent major work completed in 2017. In combination with the A726 road which meets the M77 motorway, it forms a southern and eastern bypass for the city of Glasgow. Kingsway Telephone Exchange
Kingsway telephone exchange was a Cold War-era hardened telephone exchange underneath High Holborn in London. Initially built as a deep-level air-raid shelter in the early 1940s, it was instead used as a government communications centre. In 1949 the General Post Office (GPO) took over the building, and in 1956 it became the UK termination point for TAT-1, the first transatlantic telephone cable. Closure of the facility began in the 1980s. It was built together with underground exchanges in Birmingham and Manchester, and was originally covered by a D notice History The Kingsway telephone exchange was built as a deep-level shelter underneath Chancery Lane tube station in the early 1940s, consisting of two east-west aligned tunnels, one on each side of the Central Line. The Kingsway Shopping Centre is an under-cover shopping centre in Newport city centre, Wales. The northern entrance is on John Frost Square adjoining the Friars Walk shopping and leisure complex. Kingsway Business Park Metrolink Station
Kingsway Business Park is a tram stop on the Oldham and Rochdale Line (ORL) of Greater Manchester's Metrolink network. It is located in Firgrove, on the northeastern side of Kingsway Business Park in the Metropolitan Borough of Rochdale, between the Milnrow and Newbold stations. It opened as part of Phase 3a of the system's expansion, on 28 February 2013. Kingsway International Christian Centre (KICC) is based in London, England and was established in 1992 with 200 adults and 100 children. It currently has up to 12,000 people in attendance at the main church every Sunday. The church is pastored by Matthew Ashimolowo. Relocation history The church, whose majority membership is under 50 years of age, is predominantly of West African origin but claims that worshippers come from 46 nations. It was located for nine years on a site in Hackney, London, close to the site of the 2012 Olympics Village. Kingsway Hall
The Kingsway Hall in Holborn, London, was the base of the West London Mission (WLM) of the Methodist Church, and eventually became one of the most important recording venues for classical music and film music. It was built in 1912 and demolished in 1998. Among the prominent Methodists associated with the Kingsway Hall was Donald Soper, who was Superintendent Minister at the West London Mission from 1936 until his retirement in 1978. Kingsway Village is located three miles south of the City of Gloucester, England, adjacent to the suburbs of Quedgeley and Tuffley. It is built upon the old RAF Quedgeley site, the development of the site was started in 2006 by several housing developers. Kingsway comes under the town of Quedgeley, and is in the City Council Ward of Quedgeley Fieldcourt. As of 2016, under Gloucestershire County Council it is part of the ward of Kingsway.
