	Johnnie Morris (actor) Johnnie Morris (June 15, 1887 – October 7, 1969) was an American actor and comedian who began his career in Vaudeville and then worked in the movies. Biography Morris was born in New York City. In 1905, he was hired by Gene Leroy to be part of the Leroy Trio, a Vaudeville act which featured Leroy as a drag singer with two teenage singers supporting him. The other member of the group was a 15-year-old Julius Marx in his professional debut. The Trio first performed at the Ramona Theatre, in Grand Rapids, MI on July 16, 1905. The diminutive actor played newsboys, jockeys, and characters named 'Peewee' in a film career that lasted from 1912 to 1942. One of his most notable roles was that of Pappy Yokum in the 1940 film version of ''Li'l Abner''. He died on October 7, 1969 in Hollywood, California. 	Johnny Morris (footballer) John Morris (27 September 1923 – 6 April 2011) was an English footballer who played as an inside forward in the Football League for Manchester United, Derby County and Leicester City. Morris was born in Radcliffe, Lancashire. He started his career as a trainee with Manchester United in 1939, and turned professional in 1941. He guested for clubs including Bolton Wanderers, Charlton Athletic, Wrexham, and Everton during the Second World War, and made his debut for Manchester United on 26 October 1946 in a 3–0 home win against Sunderland in the First Division. He helped the club win the 1948 FA Cup, then, after scoring 35 goals from 93 appearances in all competitions, he was transferred to Derby County in March 1949 for a world record fee of £24,000. 	Johnny Morris (American Football) Johnny Edward Morris (born September 26, 1935) is a former American football halfback and wide receiver in the National Football League. He spent his entire ten-year career with the Chicago Bears, and is the franchise's all-time leader in receiving yards with 5,059. He attended the University of California, Santa Barbara. Morris won an NFL championship in 1963. In 1964, he had his best season with 93 receptions for 1,200 yards and 10 touchdowns. In 1964, while still playing for the Bears, Morris joined WBBM-TV in Chicago as a sportscaster. Except for a six-year stint at rival WMAQ-TV, Morris remained at WBBM until 1992, serving for most of that time as sports director.
