Morten Arnfred
Morten Arnfred (born 2 August 1945) is a Danish film director and screenwriter. His 1983 film ''Der er et yndigt land (film), Der er et yndigt land'' was entered into the 33rd Berlin International Film Festival, where it won an Honourable Mention. Ten years later, his film ''The Russian Singer'' was entered into the 43rd Berlin International Film Festival. He also co-direct the miniseries trilogy ''The Kingdom (miniseries), Riget'' with Lars von Trier. Berthe Qvistgaard
Berthe Qvistgaard (11 August 1910 – 23 October 1999) was a Danish stage and film actress, and winner of the prestigious Tagea Brandt Rejselegat award in 1965. She was a rector of the Danish National School of Theatre and Contemporary Dance for a period of her life. She died from Alzheimer's disease which she suffered from throughout the 1990s. This is a list of submissions to the 52nd Academy Awards for Best Foreign Language Film. The Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film was created in 1956 by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to honour non-English-speaking films produced outside the United States. The award is handed out annually, and is accepted by the winning film's director, although it is considered an award for the submitting country as a whole. Countries are invited by the Academy to submit their best films for competition according to strict rules, with only one film being accepted from each country. For the 52nd Academy Awards, twenty-three films were submitted in the category Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. The People's Republic of China submitted a film for the first time. Just Betzer
Just Betzer (11 June 1944 – 6 November 2003), was a Danish Oscar-winning film producer, born in Åbyhøj, Denmark. Betzer began his career managing the candy concession and as an alternate projectionist at his father's theater in Aarhus, Denmark, in 1955. In 1960, Betzer founded Panorama Film production/distribution company in Denmark, which has since made over 30 feature films. He later opened a chain of 13 theatres throughout Denmark. In 1985, Betzer moved to England, and started the London-based company Panorama Film International with offices in Copenhagen, Denmark and Los Angeles, California. In 1987, the film ''Babette's Feast'', produced by Betzer, was released. ''Babette's Feast'' won the Academy Award for Best Foreign-Language Film, and the BAFTA Best Foreign Film award, in 1988. Ib Mossin (3 July 1933 – 17 December 2004) was a Danish actor, singer and director best known for his role as heartthrob Peter of the hugely popular '' Far til Fire'' film series. He had his breakthrough as the apprentice Egon in 1953's Farlig Ungdom (''Dangerous Youth''), a stark drama about the crime scene in Copenhagen among adolescents. He also had roles in fourteen of the eighteen Danish films based on novels by Morten Korch. Later in his life he travelled his home country talking about his experiences as an actor and celebrity.
