John Davidson (entertainer)
John Hamilton Davidson (born December 13, 1941) is an American actor, singer, and game-show host known for hosting ''That's Incredible!,'' '' Time Machine,'' and ''Hollywood Squares'' in the 1980s, and a revival of '' The $100,000 Pyramid'' in 1991. Biography Davidson was born to two Baptist ministers in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania , lived in West Bridgewater, Massachusetts and graduated from White Plains High School (in White Plains, New York), before entering Denison University. He thought about following in his parents' footsteps, but ultimately decided that he would rather sing about love than preach it. Davidson worked in television programs including sitcoms, game shows, variety shows, and talk shows. George Carlin
George Denis Patrick Carlin (May 12, 1937 – June 22, 2008) was an American comedian, actor, author, and social critic. Regarded as one of the most important and influential stand-up comedians of all time, he was dubbed "the dean of counterculture comedians". ''Scrabble'' is an American television game show based upon the Scrabble board game. Muriel Green of Exposure Unlimited developed the idea for a television game show based upon the board game concept. During 1983, Green convinced Selchow and Righter, who at that time owned the Scrabble board game, to license Exposure Unlimited to produce the game show. Exposure Unlimited co-produced the show with Reg Grundy Productions, and licensed the show to NBC. ''Scrabble'' aired on NBC from July 2, 1984, to March 23, 1990, and again from January 18 to June 11, 1993. Chuck Woolery hosted the program. Jay Stewart was the announcer for the first year. Charlie Tuna replaced him in the summer of 1985 and remained through the original run and the entirety of the 1993 revival. Wally Bruner
Wallace Bruner Jr. (March 4, 1931 – November 3, 1997) was an American journalist and television host. He covered Congress and the Lyndon Johnson administration for ABC News in the 1960s. He was the first host of the 1968–1975 syndicated version of ''What's My Line?'' and went on to host the syndicated home repair show '' Wally's Workshop.'' ''What's My Line?'' is a panel game show that originally ran in the United States on the CBS Television Network from 1950 to 1967, originally in black and white and later in color, with subsequent U.S. revivals. The game uses celebrity panelists to question contestants in order to determine their occupation, i.e. their "line of work". The majority of the contestants were from the general public. ''The Carol Burnett Show'' is an American variety/sketch comedy television show that originally ran on CBS from September 11, 1967, to March 29, 1978, for 279 episodes, and again with nine episodes in fall 1991. Initially titled ''The Art Baker Show'', the program originally aired on American television between 1950 and 1959. Later versions of the series were seen in 1972, 1981, and 2000. On the show, viewers were asked to send in postcards describing something that they wanted to see on television, such as the reenactment of William Tell shooting an apple off his son's head.
