Jim Ryan (American Football Coach)
Jim Ryan (born July 10, 1975) is an American former college football coach. He served as the head football coach at Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee from 2016 to 2019 compiling a record of 16–24. Ryan coached at Washington University in St. Louis from 2008 to 2015, the last four in which he was the defensive coordinator, and at Illinois College from 2003 to 2007. In 2015, Ryan was named the AFCA Division III Assistant Coach of the Year. He was interim head coach at Colorado College in 2003 where he also served as defensive coordinator during the 2002 season. James Ryan (born 12 May 1945) is a Scottish former footballer who played as a winger. Born in Stirling, Ryan spent the majority of his professional career in England, starting with Manchester United before moving to Luton Town in 1970. In 1976, he moved to the United States, where he played for the Dallas Tornado in the North American Soccer League (NASL) and the Wichita Wings in the Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL). Upon his return to England in 1984, Ryan took over as manager of Luton Town's reserve team before taking charge of the senior team from January 1990 to May 1991. In June 1991, he was appointed by Alex Ferguson as the manager of Manchester United's reserve team, a position he held for 10 years. He was also the club's assistant manager for the 2001–02 season, before being made Director of Youth Football in 2002. James E. Ryan (February 21, 1946 – June 12, 2022) was an American lawyer and politician who served two four-year terms as Illinois Attorney General. A career Republican, he received his party's nomination and ran unsuccessfully for Governor of Illinois against Rod Blagojevich in 2002. Education Ryan was born in Chicago on February 21, 1946 and grew up in the suburb of Villa Park, Illinois. His father, Edward Ryan, was a construction worker while his mother was an Italian immigrant housewife. As a youth, he was active in boxing and won the middleweight title in the 1963 Chicago Golden Gloves tournament when he was 17 years old. He attended a Benedictine-run high school, Saint Procopius Academy (now Benet Academy). Upon graduating, Ryan went on to study at Saint Procopius College (now Benedictine University), where he obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in political science in 1968. James Logan Ryan (born August 19, 1939) is an American television reporter and anchorman in New York City. He was one of the anchors for Good Day New York on Fox 5 NY. Biography He started his broadcast career at WNBC in 1980, eventually becoming an anchor/reporter until he left for WNEW (later WNYW) in 1985. He became the station's political reporter until he began co-anchoring ''Good Day New York'' in 1988, a position he held until 2005, when WNYW threw an on-air retirement celebration for him. He was known for often wearing a black leather blazer during the broadcast. A few months later, he was "lured out of retirement" (according to weatherman and friend Dave Price), when he was hired to join the anchor team at ''CBS 2 News This Morning''. James Francis Ryan (April 21, 1936 – August 31, 2022) was an American screenwriter in the DePatie–Freleng Enterprises, also the Filmation studios and Hanna–Barbera. As Jim Ryan he wrote the screen story from the 1987 ITC Entertainment Group film ''The Brave Little Toaster''. Career Ryan began his career at DePatie-Freleng Enterprises, where he penned episodes of ''The Inspector'' and scripted the ''Pink Panther'' short '' Psychedelic Pink''. At Filmation, he wrote for several cartoons alongside writing partner Bill Danch, including '' Mission: Magic!'' (starring Rick Springfield), '' Shazam!'', one of Ryan's few forays into live action, and '' Fabulous Funnies''. Ryan and Danch were head writers of ''The Secret Lives of Waldo Kitty''. James Ronald Ryun (born April 29, 1947) is an American former Republican politician and Olympic track and field athlete, who at his peak was widely considered the world's top middle-distance runner. He won a silver medal in the 1500 m at the 1968 Summer Olympics, and was the first high school athlete to run a mile in under four minutes.
