Jean-Yves Le Drian (; born 30 June 1947) is a French politician who served as Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs in the First Philippe government, governments of Prime Ministers Édouard Philippe and Jean Castex (2017–2022) and as Minister of the Armies (France), Minister of Defence under President François Hollande (2012–2017). A former member of the Socialist Party (France), Socialist Party, he had been an Independent politician, Independent from 2018 before founding Territories of Progress in 2020. The Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs () is the ministry of the Government of France that handles France's foreign relations. Territories of Progress – Social Reformist Movement (french: Territoires de progrès – Mouvement social-réformiste, TDP) was a French political party of the centre to centre-left. It was founded in February 2020 by Socialist Party ministers Jean-Yves Le Drian and Olivier Dussopt who had previously defected from that party to join the presidential majority (La République En Marche!) of Emmanuel Macron.
