Jackson And His Computer Band
Jackson Fourgeaud, known professionally as Jackson and His Computerband (earlier Jackson and His Computer Band), is a French IDM artist. He released his debut album '' Smash'' with Warp Records in 2005. History Jackson Fourgeaud began making music at the age of 15. After his acid house debut on Pumpking records in 1996, Sound of Barclay records released the "Sense Juice" and "Gourmet" EPs under the name Jackson & His Computer Band. In 2003 his fourth single, album opener "Utopia", was released. "Utopia" and "Fast Life" feature vocals by his mother, Paula Moore (birdpaula), a folk and blues singer. Warp Records picked up on these tracks, released on French imprint Sound Of Barclay, and signed him. "Utopia", from the album ''Smash'', was used in the O2 ‘bubble’ ad campaign. Freeform Five is an English electronic group led by DJ, producer, and songwriter Anu Pillai. Biography It was his remix of Isolee’s "Beau Mot Plage" in 1999 that alerted many to this group. The Freeform Five DJ mix albums ''Bisous Bisous II'' and ''Misch Masch'' were released in 2005 and 2006. Gaston Ghrenassia (born 11 December 1938), known by his stage name Enrico Macias, is an Algerian-French singer, songwriter and musician of Algerian Jewish descent. Early years Gaston Ghrenassia was born to a Sephardic Algerian Jewish family in Constantine, Algeria. His father, Sylvain Ghrenassia (1914–2004), was a violinist in an orchestra that played primarily ''malouf'', Andalusian classical music. Marc Collin
Marc Collin is a French musician, film music composer and record producer. He is best known as the founder, with Olivier Libaux, of the project Nouvelle Vague, a cover band that covers new wave songs in a bossa nova style. Collin also released a side-project album in 2008 under his own name, titled ''Hollywood, mon amour'', consisting of covers, on the Nouvelle Vague formula, of songs from 1980s film soundtracks. Collin stated that he did not embark on the project out of nostalgia for the films, but because he was drawn to the challenge of transforming extremely well-known hits into intimate tracks. Alexander Ridha (born 22 August 1982), better known by his stage name Boys Noize, is a Berlin-based German-Iraqi electronic music record producer, songwriter, and DJ.
