U.S. Route 92 or U.S. Highway 92 (US 92) is a 181-mile (291 km.) U.S. Route entirely in the U.S. state of Florida. The western terminus is at US 19 Alt. and SR 687 in downtown St. Petersburg. The eastern terminus is at SR A1A in Daytona Beach. Gandy Bridge
Gandy Bridge is the southernmost bridge spanning Old Tampa Bay from St. Petersburg, Florida to Tampa, Florida. The original 1924 span was dismantled in 1975. The second bridge, constructed in 1956 was used for vehicular traffic until 1997, when it was converted to recreational use by non-motorized traffic. It became known as the Friendship Trail Bridge and was demolished in 2016, after closing in 2008 due to hazardous conditions and several failed efforts to preserve the span. The third (1975) and fourth (1997) spans of the Gandy Bridge are currently being used for vehicle traffic. Almost three miles long, the Gandy Bridge is one of three bridges connecting the mainland of Hillsborough County and Pinellas County; the others being the Howard Frankland Bridge and the Courtney Campbell Causeway. State Road 546 (SR 546) is a state highway in Lakeland, Polk County, Florida, that runs from Interstate 4 (I-4) to U.S. Route 92 (US 92) and SR 600. SR 546 is only signed for the first , after which it is concurrent with US 92. Including the segment overlapped by US 92, Florida State Road 546 is a four-lane divided highway, except between Walker Avenue and Florida State Road 33 and Massachusetts Avenue where it is a six-lane divided highway. State Road 694 (SR 694) is an east–west route in Pinellas County, running from SR 693 (66th Street N) in Pinellas Park to U.S. Route 92 (US 92 and unsigned SR 600) in St. Petersburg. Route description State Road 694 starts at State Road 693 in Pinellas Park, where SR 694 heads east as Park Boulevard. State Road 686 (SR 686) is an east–west route in Pinellas County, running from U.S. Route 19 Alternate (Alt. US 19) in Largo east to an intersection with SR 687 (4th Street) and SR 694 (Gandy Boulevard) in St. Petersburg, Florida. Originally, SR 686 extended further west, ending at Gulf Boulevard in Belleair Beach, next to the shores of the Gulf of Mexico. It runs through Largo, where it crosses an interchange with US 19 and east of the intersection, SR 686 is known as Roosevelt Boulevard, named for President Franklin Delano Roosevelt.
