Künes River
The Künes River ( ug, دەرياسى كۈنەس, Künes deryasi, Künəs dəryasi; zh, c=鞏乃斯河, p=Gǒngnǎisī hé) is a tributary of the river Ili (river), Ili in Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, that originates in the eastern Tianshan. Geography The Künes River originates in the eastern Tianshan in the Eren Habirga Mountains and flows from east to west to merge with the Tekes River and form the Ili (river), Ili. It flows through glacial, Alpine tundra, alpine, and grassland environments, the latter including semi-arid, dry-steppe, steppe, meadow grassland, and mountain meadow. Kapchagay Lake
Konaev ( kk, Қонаев; russian: Конаев), previously known as Kapchagay ( kk, Қапчағай, links=no; russian: Капшагай, links=no or ), is a city with the Almaty Region of Kazakhstan. It is located on the Ili River, and has been built along with the construction of Kapshagay Dam on that river in the 1960s. The dam has formed Kapchagay Reservoir (a.k.a. Xinyuan County () as the official romanized name, also transliterated from Uyghur as Künas County (; ), is a county in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region and is under the administration of the Ili Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture. The Sibe or Xibo (, , ; ), are a Tungusic-speaking East Asian ethnic group living mostly in Xinjiang, Jilin and Shenyang in Liaoning. Yaqub Beg
Muhammad Yaqub Bek (محمد یعقوب بیگ; uz, Яъқуб-бек, ''Ya’qub-bek''; ; 182030 May 1877) was a Khanate of Kokand, Khoqandi ruler of Yettishar (Kashgaria) during his invasion of Xinjiang from 1865 to 1877. He held the title of Atalik Ghazi ("Champion Father").
