Houston Baptist Huskies Football
The Houston Christian Huskies Football team, formerly known as the Houston Baptist Huskies until September of 2022, is the intercollegiate American football team for Houston Christian University located in Houston, Texas, United States. The team currently competes in the NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) as a full member of the Southland Conference. Houston Christian’s (formerly known as Houston Baptist) first football team was fielded in 2013 for a seven game developmental season. The Huskies finished 2013 with a 3-4 record. Since the 2013 games were played during a developmental season, records and statistics are considered unofficial. The team played most of its home games at Crusader Stadium in Houston, Texas that season with one home game being played at BBVA Compass Stadium. September 6, 2014 marked two firsts. The UTEP Miners football program represents University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) in the sport of American football. The Miners compete in the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the West Division of Conference USA (CUSA). They are coached by Dana Dimel. The North Texas Mean Green football program is the intercollegiate team that represents the University of North Texas in the sport of American football. The Mean Green compete in the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the American Athletic Conference. Eastern Kentucky Colonels Football
The Eastern Kentucky Colonels football program represents Eastern Kentucky University (EKU) in college football, through the 2020-21 season as a member of the Ohio Valley Conference (OVC), and competes at the NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) level. The school has traditionally had much success on the football field, having won 21 OVC conference titles and two Division I FCS National Championships (then called ''Division I-AA'') in 1979 and 1982, and reaching the finals in 1980 and 1981. The SMU Mustangs football program is a college football team representing Southern Methodist University (SMU) in University Park in Dallas County, Texas. Trinity Tigers Football
The Trinity Tigers is the nickname for the sports teams of Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. They participate in the NCAA's Division III and the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC). The school mascot is LeeRoy, a Bengal tiger. In the 1950s, LeeRoy was an actual tiger who was brought to sporting events, but today LeeRoy is portrayed by a student wearing a tiger suit.
