Shahram Homayoun ( fa, شهرام همایون) is an Iranian political dissident, political activist, and the owner of "Channel one," a Persian satellite TV station based in Los Angeles, California that broadcasts into Iran daily. Exile Shahram Homayoun fled Iran for the United States in 1991. He was a marked man in Iran, because he supported democracy and human rights and his opposition to the Iranian government. Homayoun Behzadi (20 June 1942 – 22 January 2016) was an Iranian footballer and coach. He usually played as a striker. Early life He was born on 4 January 1942 in Khorramabad, Lorestan Province. Behzadi first broke into the Shahin side when he was only 16 years old. He played for Shahin until 1966, when due to financial problems Shahin FC dissolved. He is graduated in Persian language. Daryoush Homayoun ( fa, داریوش همایون; 19282011) was an Iranian journalist, author, intellectual, and politician. He was the Minister of Information and Tourism in the cabinet of Jamshid Amouzegar, founder of the daily newspaper ''Ayandegan'', and one-time high-ranking member of the Rastakhiz party. In exile he became one of the founders of the Constitutionalist Party of Iran. He was famous for his analytical writings and largely impartial assessment of history. Homayoun Ershadi (also spelled Homayon Ershadi, fa, همایون ارشادی ; born March 26, 1947) is an Iranian actor, known for his debut role in '' Taste of Cherry'' (1997), and several Iranian and other films since then, including Hollywood movies ''The Kite Runner'' and ''Zero Dark Thirty''. Biography Ershadi studied architecture in Italy, graduating in 1970 and worked as an architect for many years. He was discovered as an actor by acclaimed Iranian New Wave film director, Abbas Kiarostami. Homayoun Shajarian ( fa, همايون شجريان, born May 21, 1975) is an Iranian singer. He is the son of Mohammad-Reza Shajarian. Early life Shajarian was born in Tehran and is the son of Mohammad-Reza Shajarian, a grand master vocalist of Persian traditional music. At a young age, he began studying the tombak, a Persian hand drum, and Persian traditional vocal Avaz. Shajarian attended Tehran Conservatory of Music choosing Kamancheh as his professional instrument and was tutored by Ardeshir Kamkar. Homa Katouzian ( Persian: همايون کاتوزیان; born Homayoun Katouzian on 17 November 1942) is an economist, historian, sociologist and literary critic, with a special interest in Iranian studies. Katouzian's formal academic training was in economics and the social sciences but he concurrently continued his studies of Persian history and literature at a professional academic level.
