Belarus participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 with the song "Help You Fly" written by Viktor Drobysh, Alexander Ivanov, Timofei Leontiev and Mary Susan Applegate. The song was performed by Ivan, which is the artistic name of singer Alexander Ivanov. The Belarusian entry for the 2016 contest in Stockholm, Sweden was selected through a national final organised by the Belarusian broadcaster National State Television and Radio Company of the Republic of Belarus (BTRC). The national final consisted of ten competing acts participating in a televised production where public televoting selected the winner. OGAE
The (OGAE) () is a non-governmental and non-profit international organisation, consisting of 42 Eurovision Song Contest fan clubs from across Europe and beyond. It was founded in 1984 in Savonlinna, Finland by Jaripekka Koikkalainen. Four non-profit competitions are organised by the OGAE every year to promote national popular music to Eurovision fans around the world. NAPOLI (russian: Наполи), is a Belarusian music project. NAPOLI was formed in 2012 in Minsk by Ilya Kravchuk, Ilona Muntyan and Olga Shimanskaya. Ilya Kravchuk died on 25 March 2014. On 2 July 2014, Sergey Bolobolov became a new member of the group. Since November 2015 NAPOLI is the solo project of Olga Shimanskaya. NAPOLI participated in Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk in 2012. Naviband
Naviband (stylysed as NAVIBAND, until late 2016 also called NAVI) is a Belarusian band from Minsk. The band was founded a duo between vocalist and guitarist Arciom Lukjanienka and vocalist and keyboardist Ksienija Žuk, later also featured guitarist Aliaksandr Taboĺski, bassist Uladzislaŭ Čaščavik, and drummer Uladzimir Biehier. The band rose to fame with a primarily Belarusian-language repertoire, but have also performed several songs in Russian and released a single in Ukrainian.
