Golapi Ekhon Traine
''Golapi Ekhon Traine'' ( bn, গোলাপী এখন ট্রেনে, Gōlāpī Ekhon Trēnē, Golapi is now on a train - English name: The Endless Trail) is a Bangladeshi drama film based on the novel of Amjad Hossain ''Droupodi Ekhon Traine'' and directed by himself. The film is one of his "Golapi" film series. This film was released on September 5, 1978 and became popular and had positive critical receptions. Plot Mondol (A.T.M. Shamsuzzaman) is an influential person in the village. His son Milon (Farooque) likes the girl of a street singer ( Anwar Hossain) Golapi (Bobita). In the meantime, Mondol brings a bridegroom for Golapi but they demand a cycle. Golapi's father cannot afford this so Milon pay for the cycle. But for some reason the marriage does not take place and Golapi's father commits suicide. As a result, Golapi's family fall into grief and she starts to work in different places by train. Amjad Hossain
Amjad Hossain (14 August 1942 – 14 December 2018) was a Bangladeshi film director, actor, scriptwriter and lyricist. He won the Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Director twice, for the films ''Golapi Ekhon Traine'' (1978) and ''Bhat De'' (1984). He also won Bangla Academy Literary Award in 2004 and Ekushey Padak in 1992. Career Hossain was born in Jamalpur on 14 August 1942. Hossain debuted his acting career in the film ''Tomar Amar'' (1961). He made his directorial debut as an assistant in the film '' Agun Niye Khela'' (1967). Filmography Personal life Hossain had two sons - Sajjad Hossain Dodul and Sohel Arman. Sohel was married to actress Tareen Jahan. Sabina Yasmin
Sabina Yasmin (born 4 September 1953) is a Bangladeshi singer. She is best known as a playback singer in Bengali cinema. She has won Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Female Playback Singer a record 14 times. She has recorded more than 1,500 songs for films and over 10,000 songs in total. Yasmin was awarded Ekushey Padak in 1984 and Independence Day Award in 1996 by the Government of Bangladesh. Early life Yasmin was born on 4 September 1953. Her father, Lutfar Rahman, worked in Provincial Civil Service of British Raj and her mother, Begum Mouluda Khatun, was a vocal artist who took lessons from the musician Ustaad Kader Baksh.
